BBC News just had some woman on to talk about tennis, elderly sports writer. Seemed like a 2015/2016 candidate.

So .. What Do You Watch On TV?

Anyone watch Billy Connoly's big send off? -
Fuck........ that is funny. Unfortunately for you, apparently I have reached the maximum limit of "likes" that I am allowed to give in one day. Never had that before..... I had no idea there was a limit on the number of "likes" you can do in one day. I hit it on the day Thatcher died. Hahahahahahahahaha. It's funny because it's (presumably) true. I'm guessing the limit might be anything between 15 and 25. It's 15 I think. I don't think I liked more than 5 in the last 24 hours and it ran out at 10 on the first page.

He's the drink driving car crashing literally and metaphorically hasbeen right? That sounds more like George Michael. *Doh* Boy George is the other one right come-a-come-chameleon ... Maybe we could get him to do an autoerotic asphyxiation cover of it cum-a-cum-a-croaking

It's a shame you're countries excellent song got beaten by a drag act with a gimmick beard. Still think Iceland was the best song on the night. For those who don't watch eurovision; -

I was watching on eurosport (I like commentators who actually have a clue what they're on about) but according to other forums there was a shot of some audience members smiling and he said something along the lines of "smile for your uncle willie girls" and now #unclewillie is trending on twitter...

Willie Thorne gave his game away in commentary..

And Jack Ramsay provides a 117 point boost for CaptainChorizo and Death Impends. This opens up a big gulf between 3rd and 4th place, are the main pack beginning to pull away or is our winner biding their time... Snookers finished for the day. So I've cured my boredom with a little potentials list. World Championship Survivors since 1970 Qualification criteria, played in the main draw of a World Championship since challenge format ended. (1969 world championship - 2014 world championship) (People who don't have a wikipedia page, or there age can't be found by google excluded) Most of them won't be troubling the DL Commitee any time soon, but still interesting to note how snooker's first generation of real stars are still yet to get old and the majority of the generation before that are already dead. I'm sure this'll come in handy in 20 years time. Rex Williams, 80 Ray Reardon, 81 Mark Wildman, 78 Perrie Mans, 73 Graham Miles, 72 Paddy Morgan, 71 Doug Mountjoy, 71 David Taylor, 70 John Virgo, 68 Jim Meadowcroft, 67 Silvino Francisco, 67 Terry Griffiths, 66 Cliff Thorburn, 66 Dennis Taylor, 65 Dave Martin, 65 Patsy Fagan, 63 John Campbell, 61 Joe Johnson, 61 Willie Thorne, 60 Jim Wych, 60 Warren King, 59 Steve Newbury, 58 Tony Drago, 58 Tony Knowles, 58 Eugene Hughes, 58 Steve Davis, 56 Kirk Stevens, 55 Bob Chaperon, 55 Tony Meo, 54 Mike Hallet, 54 Wayne Jones, 54 Tony Jones, 54 Alain Robidoux, 53 Steve James, 52 Peter Francisco, 52 Jimmy White, 51 Dean Reynolds, 51 Dene O'Kanne, 51 Neal Foulds, 50 Mark Bennet, 50 John Parrot, 49 Gary Wilkinson, 48 Mick Price, 48 Nigel Bond, 48 Stefan Mazrocis, 47 Darren Morgan, 47 Dave Harold, 47 David Roe, 45 Mark Johnston-Allen, 45 Martin Clark, 45 Brian Morgan, 45 Stephen Hendry, 45 Drew Henry, 45 Billy Snaddon, 44 Anthony Davies, 44 Danny Fowler, 44 Tony Chappel, 44 Nick Dyson, 44 Jason Ferguson, 44 James Wattana, 44 Joe Swail, 44 Peter Lines, 44 Ken Doherty, 44 Patrick Wallace, 44 Rory McLeod, 43 Barry Pinches, 43 Alan McManus, 43 Peter Ebdon, 43 Sean Storey, 42 Dominic Dale, 42 Fergal O'Brien, 42 Rod Lawler, 42 Jimmy Michie, 42 Mike Dunn, 42 Terry Murphy, 42 Anthony Hamilton, 42 Ian McCulloch, 42 Mark Davis, 41 John Lardner, 41 Nick Walker, 41 Marcus Campbell, 41 Joe Delaney, 41 Chris Small, 40 Mark King, 40 Andy Hicks, 40 Gerard Greene, 40 Mark Williams, 39 Stephen Lee, 39 Robert Milkins, 38 Joe Perry, 39 Robin Hull, 39 Michael Judge, 39 Stuart Pettman, 39 Lee Walker, 38 Simon Bedford, 38 Ronnie O'Sullivan, 38 John Higgins, 38 Jamie Burnett, 38 Alfie Burden, 37 Leo Fernandez, 37 Stuart Bingham, 37 Graeme Dott, 36 Marco Fu, 36 Matthew Stevens, 36 Quienten Hann, 36 Andrew Higginson, 36 David Gray, 35 Michael Holt, 35 Dechawat Poomjaeng, 35 Barry Hawkins, 35 Ali Carter, 34 Ryan Day, 34 David Gilbert, 32 Stephen Maguire, 33 Neil Robertson, 32 Martin Gould, 32 Andrew Paggett, 32 Shaun Murphy, 31 Ricky Walden, 31 Mark Selby, 30 Tom Ford, 30 Matthew Selt, 29 Jamie Cope, 28 Mark Allen, 28 Ding Junhui, 27 Lliang Wenbo, 27 Robbie Williams, 27 Jimmy Robertson, 27 Jamie Jones, 26 Ben Woolaston, 26 Sam Baird, 25 Xia Goudong, 25 Judd Trump, 24 Michael Wasley, 24 Liu Chuang, 23 Cao Yupeng, 23 Kyren Wilson, 22 Zhang Anda, 22 Jack Lisowski, 22 Michael White, 22 Luca Brecel, 19

There not actually that old, they've just lived snooker lifestyle which back when they played wasn't good for your health (Bill Werbernick must be the prime example of that.) The BBC regulars are all under 70 John Virgo, 68 Terry Griffiths, 66 Dennis Taylor, 65 Willie Thorne, 60 Steve Davis, 56 John Parrot, 49 Stephen Hendry, 45 Ken Doherty, 44 Eurosports guys may be better at their jobs, but aren't much older; Joe Johnson, 61 Neal Foulds, 50 Mike Hallet, 54 Dave Hendon, ?? Phil Yates, ??

Has anyone been watching the world snooker championships? None of the players are old enough to consider for deathlist but I think a few viewers might have been bored to death by that Wilson v Walden match. Fancy Robertson for the title though.

Bugger. He was on the subs bench for my Toast of the Turf team. By the way, could a mod sort out the ungrammatical and misspelt thread title, please? And it's Clare Balding, not Claire, but I can't see that she warrants a thread to herself anyway. Just call it Horse Racing Personalities, or summat similar. Or Sods of Turf. How about; The Grandaddy National

Should we try this again with a rule specifying war dead/lists of casualties from disasters don't count?
