Barbara Bush And Rosalynn Carter In 2017
Gooseberry Crumble replied to USFuneralDirector's topic in DeathList Forum
I'm pretty confident that Rossalyn will outlive Barbara Bush. I feel that a former first lady making it to 100 is inevitable and I think Rossalyn would be a good pick to be the first. She does seem to be in relatively good nick. And yes the animosity between Barbara Bush and Nancy Reagan was legendary! -
It won't let me vote as it says I already have voted despite it being a new thread?? But anyway I'm gonna go for Muhammad Ali for no other reason than he seems to have outlasted (by quite a few years) a few people in my own personal life who had parkinsons disease and I feel there's a good chance his "good fortune" may not last much longer. As a sidenote I feel Dame Vera Lynn may be the type of person who's successful by a degree of a forceful determined personality to reach 100 before they give up /lose the battle and that ain't until next year.

The Fringes Of Fame/family Of The Famous
Gooseberry Crumble replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList Forum
Damn Gooseberry -- beat me to it! "Fringes of Fame' is all he gets I guess. Was kidnapped at 19, as you old fogies (a-hem) may recall. Article says Frank paid $240K for his release. SC Sorry lol -I rarely beat anyone to it so forgive me my small" victory " On some of my deathpool game lists I have listed Frank Sinatras first wife and mother to all his children Nancy Sinatra senior aged 98 as a possible passing this year. I think this sad news may make that just a little bit more likely. -

Wonder if they'll mention the following: 1. Her rep as the blowjob queen of Hollywood. 2. How much money the US taxpayer paid in taxes for her to maintain her lifestyle choices. 3. Her record on HIV/AIDS and minority rights. None of the above, I'm sure. What amused me on the BBC Obit was how she 'gained a new purpose' after her husband's death 'promoting the use of stem cell research in the bid to find cures for diseases such as Alzheimer's.' Amazing how many of these conservatives are utterly opposed to these things their entire lives, but when it can directly help their own then suddenly they become converts... Actually Nancy Reagan disagreed with her husbands anti abortion pro life stance and said so in numerous interviews quite near the time. Stem cell research looking for cures or more realistic better treatments for certain conditions didn't really become a viable live issue until 1998-1999 a decade after the Reagan's left office. But as I said Nancy was never anti abortion so she's not really exhibiting double standards.

Yes I think your right and it looks like I've cocked up! Obviously that makes me entering "now" a bit tricky. Oh well whatever will be will be -lesson learnt and all that. Many Thanks ☺

Here's were I posted OP -but again I accept the error may be mine? I won't take against you or kick up a fuss If I don't qualify. Thank you for your patience.

No I don't think so? I think I just posted it on here and it was okayed -unless I'm getting mixed up with another deathpool? It's beginning to look like I've messed up! I will recheck on this thread. Sorry for the hassle -If I'm out or rather not in its clearly my own fault.

I'm not sure If I'm misunderstanding how this works as it's my first year but I can't find myself anywhere on that scoreboard despite having two hits Nancy Reagan and Tony Warren?? What's your team name? Just Gooseberry Crumble and I entered on here unless here isn't connected to there and I'm confused on this?? Sorry I'm not criticising, This is my first year -I entered on this thread with a list. It was accepted and as far as I was aware that's all I had to do?

I try to explain that sometimes all we need are these little 'hits' to get things rolling. I had a massive year in my DP I run last year, and it all got started with a few points from Little Jimmy Dickens age 94. Not a damned thing wrong with getting hits of any kind. SC Thanks! I'm in three deathpool games on here and in the past week I've got my first "hit" on all three games, Nancy Reagan, Tony Warren and George Kennedy. It certainly does feel like a rush of gathering momentum!
-
Got my first hit for this thread Nancy Reagan -although I don't imagine that places me very high on the scoreboard!
-
Just realised that I got my first yesterday with George Kennedy not today (on another game) with Tony Warren but George Kennedy is my first hit on this game.

I really increasingly lean towards the view that her husband doesn't have her best interests at heart and I wouldn't trust a word he says. I hate saying that and perhaps I'm being harsh but this feeding tube business on such a long term basis is making her into the tortured living dead. My understanding is from media reports that the Bel Air Mansion they live in is no longer owned by the couple but the new owner signed an agreement that they can still live in it until Zsa Zsa passes away and then her husband must vacate it within six months. A delayed purchase I think it's called and I suspect keeping hold of his luxury lifestyle and home is more what motivates him to keep Zsa Zsa alive than love. Sadly I feel this to be the case.
