Paradigm. And I love business speak as discussed elsewhere. Deliverable (work product), rightsizing, throughput, outsource, sourcing, efforting, footprint etc etc. Legalese too. Insofar, Heretofore, Henceforth, Thus, and I especially love ‘said’ for ‘the, as in ‘Sir Creep entered the DL website and left said website 5 minutes later.’ How does one not adore that stilted crap?

So sad Alzheimer’s robbed him of any recollection of his final round 66 at the U.S. Open at Oakland Hills CC. -
Oh look another new post in the John McCain thread. *mark as read*

Sorry to hear about your 4-legged friend, Ice.

Only took him 4 years after the crash to take care of business. So on top of a shite pilot, he was a procrastinator.

"He played his first and only NHL game with the New York Rangers on March 13, 1948 against the Montreal Canadiens at the Montreal Forum." He really shattered some barriers there. Can't count all the Chinese in the NHL since. OTOH, I'm sure in his one and only game he exposed the chink in the armor of the Montreal defence.

Venezuelan Latin Grammy-winning ensemble C4 Trío reached out this week to followers and fans to ask them to support the health expenses of their bass player, Gustavo Márquez. Márquez was recently diagnosed with bone marrow cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. SC

Except you shouldn't be linking to Deadline. They are exactly the same as us. You need a journalistic or social media source.

(No WTC or 9/11 or Sept 11 thread??) New York City firefighter Thomas Phelan, who evacuated hundreds of people from Manhattan during the 9/11 attacks while working as a ferry captain, died Friday. Phelan, 45, died of cancer. Phelan was working as a Statue of Liberty ferry captain on Sept. 11, 2001, when terrorists flew two jetliners into the World Trade Center. Phelan turned the boat into a rescue vehicle and played a key role in evacuating people stranded in Lower Manhattan. SC

A package to be delivered to "a farm near situated up a long drive with cows opposite Cust pub or there abouts" actually made its way to its owners. It was enough to baffle the postie, but with a little help from small town New Zealanders, an unusually-addressed package reached its destination. Cust is a rural North Canterbury village, about 15 minutes west of Rangiora. It is home to about 450 people. Kay Forrester said the package sender was "almost blind" and couldn't remember their address or surname, so described from memory. SC -
New York Times as well but I won't mention it cuz it'll make me look passive aggressive.

A few of you keep saying that about Mitzi Shore, I find nothing to support it (including yesterday), but I don't do Twitter so assuming it's totally Twitter-related research. My loss.

Two Alabama brothers were harmed (one injured and one killed) due to their attempt to stop their father from committing suicide. The Blount County Sheriff’s Office reported that the 21- and 23-year-old sons were shot Thursday night after attempting to take away a gun from their father causing a struggle to ensue. After the gun was fired, one man was shot in the hand then the bullet traveled through, hitting his brother in the chest. SC
