Dead. Reportedly. https://twitter.com/4JoshReed/status/813960444218081282 Gets told he's got 3-5 years, dead within 10 months. Man, that doctor was overoptimistic. Well the doctor gets punished too--he doesn't get to bilk the insurance or Medicaid for another 3-4 years as he expected, now his accounts receivable is all fucked up. SC Edit: will be interesting to see if he gets an unlikely obit. NFL executives have missed out, lets see how non head coaches fare. I'm certain an owner or head coach would o it but anyone else remains in doubt. Testing the limits with this guy. -
We should have an 'Overrated' thread aka who should NOT be considered anytime soon. Are we now convinced Keith Farnham is yet another criminal claiming a terminal illness and exaggerating hyperbole that is his medical records in a cry for pre-sentencing sympathy? How's that '3 months to live' your lawyer talked about in March, Keith? I'm will to bet he serves his full 50% of that 8 year sentence and gets released in 2020, and goes and mates with Lynne Stewart. Anyway--who's still buying in on Farnham for 2017 I want a show of hands. SC

Trusting his lawyer enough to give him money to invest without a proper formal contract was a really dumb decision. I can't imagine why someone would trust their lawyer over family and friends. This is the dumbest thing I've ever read. You must be third from the left on the evolutionary chart if you 'can't imagine why' a person would trust their lawyer over family. I'm going to let you rethink that blithering statement, and maybe whilst your at it you can work on this conundrum: why would anyone make a Last Will & Testament? Egad. SC

So, How's Your 2017 Shortlist Looking?
Sir Creep replied to msc's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Just discovered my Spade Cooley type Joker is DEAD, that's how my short list is looking. Grrrr. Bollocks! SC http://www.postandcourier.com/news/obituaries/drummer-alphonse-mouzon-dead-at/article_c8d1b8c0-cc4b-11e6-af7b-9ba9e5c5c1c1.html -
Aaaarrrggghhh!!!! My goddamn Joker for 2017, just doing follow up and see that he's dead, Christmas Day. He was a questionable obit but that's how I'm rolling this year. Alphonse Mouzon, a drummer from Charleston who reached the pinnacle of the late-20th century jazz and soul scene, died on Christmas Day after a struggle with neuroendocrine cancer. He was 68. By the 1970s, he was performing with some of jazz music’s greatest artists: McCoy Tyner, Herbie Hancock, Freddie Hubbard and many others. He was briefly a member of the seminal fusion band Weather Report, and signed as a solo artist to Blue Note Records in 1972, according to the music site SoulTracks. By the 1990s, Mouzon was playing other styles of music with artists such as Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Carlos Santana. He appeared in the films “That Thing You Do,” “The Highlife,” “First Daughter” and “The Dukes.” SC http://www.postandcourier.com/news/obituaries/drummer-alphonse-mouzon-dead-at/article_c8d1b8c0-cc4b-11e6-af7b-9ba9e5c5c1c1.html

I think I'll sit out this year seeing as there is a rule kerfuffle. I'd simply offer up that if anyone can find a DP anywhere at all on the Internet where Death Row inmates aren't specifically excluded (if put to death as scheduled), then keep them in. There's a reason you won't find such a league....cuz including them is retarded. And RHPenguin, I'm certain you were being specious about the cancer ward, seeing as no one knows for sure when a cancer ward person will die (how's Wilko doing?) --but I know as a fact a person scheduled to die on a date certain. Anyway, enjoy your DP and good luck to you all. SC

Launches before the 1st? Just asinine.

He also suffered a stroke a few years ago.If he dies after w017 I will buy everyone a drink at the 2018 Deathlist convention. Ah horseshit. I listened to all of you -- and I mean down to the very last one of you -- local yokuls who should have had a solid pulse on Booth, all declaring his certain demise this year. Knowing little else, I waded into the waters presuming that much support couldn't be misguided. Wasted a slot with that buffoon. You can list him with his plethora of supposed ailments, I'll pass. He's probably chasing down 90 with almost no effort. SirC

A yoga instructor and actress who vanished on her way to Christmas Day dinner with friends in Washington DC has been found dead in her car, police said. Tricia McCauley's (46) body was found inside her missing white Scion one day after police released a photograph of a man who may have been driving it. A suspect has been taken into custody. If she owned a late 1930s Hudson, the headline could have read: "Step-Up actress found dead in her step down" I'll get me coat. Damn you for posting this first. Well then, I've little evidence of the greatness of Sir John 'Tosser' Brown, but by God if he was truly the Father of the South Yorkshire Iron Trade, then his death 120 years ago is cause for a celebration of industrial proportions!

WTH was THAT all about?? Do I have to donate a dollar to make sure that shit don't happen again? SC

Found this journalistic gem this morning from the Inquisitr. Joey Fleek? That's flucked up. SC http://www.inquisitr.com/2556459/joey-fleek-enters-hospice/

I don't see why you need a reboot of this topic annually. The names should never change other than an odd addition or two perhaps. If you absolutely despise someone and can't wait to read their obit, they'll be on your list every year. So let me insert for the last time the same name as always -- Ryan Secrest -- and post Mary to this topic again. SC

I just like trying to guess who will be #1 and #50. I'd really like to say Glen Campbell but that's not the way the Committee thinks. So let's try this: 1. Reverand Billy Graham . . . 50. Ginger Baker
-
If Ginger Baker and John Wetton aren't on the list, they oughtnt draft the list. Mel Tillis and Willie Nelson are legit picks. I could go on but little need. SC

Blowfly :-/ I'll be honest I totally forgot Natalie Cole died this year - which explains the magnitude of those we lost in a nutshell. -

It may be worse with more deaths. Liz 2, Philip, Jimmy Carter, Bush, maybe some Clintons, Yoko, Aretha Franklin, my bet that he's next - Stevie Wonder, maybe some younger pop star, major film actors like Kirk, Sean Connery, maybe even Madonna, Boy George, Cher, remaining Beatles....the list goes on NONE of those would upset me much. That qualifies as a big death? Raise the bar a bit. I promise something far bigger (say Bush Sr and Carter dying in the same week or summat) will tickle your fancy. SC -

They're dying the same age as Sir Creep now! :-( It really WAS his Last Christmas. Wake him up before you go go -- yeah that ain't happening. Horseshit he died peacefully. He was 53. It's an OD, a depression Christmas necktie party, or complications of lupus he kept from the public or summat. Don't lie to me. All that said, a fan since first Wham! release.... RIP. Thanks for the songs, George. Funny thing is I was just saying any other year some folks who would be top 3 memorable deaths like say Nancy Reagan are total nobodies this year. George Michael is huge--but don't break the top 5. 2016 can't depart fast enough. SirC
