Lindsey Vonn set a new downhill record? I thought she did that when she started dating Tiger Woods?

Jack 'Tags' Bannister took 1,198 wickets in a career spent entirely with Warwickshire Former BBC TV cricket commentator and Warwickshire seam bowler Jack Bannister has died at the age of 85. SC http://sportpush.com/former-bbc-commentator-bannister-dies/ Edit: as I posted this based on the headline I realized his playing career may trump that of a presenter (despite the headline). If it needs to be moved feel free.

Might be my favourite post all year. Could be a long time before anyone posts another ceramicist's obit! Anyway, I love this guy! Harrison McIntosh, noted ceramicist and longtime Claremont resident died Thursday, January 21 in Claremont. He was 101. His passion was vessel work (he never made the same one twice). At his 100th birthday celebration in September 2014, Mr. McIntosh pondered on his enthusiasm for creating the vessels that marked his decades-long career as an artist. "Why was I dumb enough to keep making the same thing for 60 years? he asked. Its taken me 100 years to learn." SC https://www.claremont-courier.com/mobile/article/t18022-harrison-mcintosh

I'm disappointed in the lack of obvious entries today (1/23) Anna Pavlova - presumably one of the greatest ballerinas ever but I never got to see her shake her money maker on the dance floor so accept the epithet at face value - 85 years ago Paul Robeson - Nobody knows the trouble he's seen.... Since he died 40 years ago. Jack LaLanne - the original fitness guru once thought immortal like Abe Vigoda and Zsa Zsa, he did his last chin-up 5 years ago. Made it to 96 so he might have been onto something when he said 'if man makes it, I don't eat it.'

Where Will The Next School Massacre Be?

now five So that sexy-ass PM of theirs was right the first time (when he initially said five were dead). He's dreamy AND clairvoyant about the deceased! They shouldn't have posted a retraction, rather a belligerent statement on the order of 'just wait and fucking see, eh?' SC -
Former St. Louis Blues defenseman Rik Wilson has died. He was 53. The team made the announcement Friday on its web site. The cause of death was not given. SC http://espn.go.com/nhl/story/_/id/14628319/former-st-louis-blues-defenseman-rik-wilson-dies-age-53

One thing I just discovered that may be assisting in Joey's hanging in there: We (well, I) immediately thought she was done for seeing as she 'entered hospice care'. However, the truth is the hospice care came to her. The hospice care is being delivered in the Feek homestead, not at some foreign facility. I think that makes a big difference in morale, comfort, etc and may account for her continued existence (although we've also read they quadrupled her pain meds, so...) SC

He was convicted of manslaughter, for which the "standard" penalty is 8 years, but the maximum is 15. First offender, one year off: seems ordinary. What's the rate where you live?20 years but he clearly killed his wife her body was found in the house for crying out loud. The maximum penalty for manslaughter in England & Wales is life imprisonment. The sentence is usually less, but not always, as in this case. FIRST OFFENDER for Manslaughter?!???? What in all of fuck? You dumb asses treat it like wreckless driving! Would you were that woman's sibling and hand me that 'first offense' manslaughter 'seems ordinary' nonsense. SC

American Football Players

Former Arizona Cardinals personnel executive George Boone died Sunday at age 77, the team announced on Thursday. Boone spent 28 season with the Cardinals, serving as assistant player personnel director from 1968-72, director of player personnel from 1973-91 and later as a scout from 2001-05. Now I know my British pals don't care a rat's ass about the NFL, but this, just before the last playoff game before the Super Bowl! It's kismet, bet the farm on Arizona to win it all. It appears (as per search box) no one has bothered to post Bill Johnson's obit, just complain he was somehow a 'miss'. Bill Johnson, the 1984 Olympic downhill skiing champion who later suffered permanent brain damage in a violent crash, died Thursday in Oregon. Johnson’s thrilling downhill win at the Sarajevo Games at age 23 was the first Olympic medal by an American man in skiing’s fastest discipline. The feat was matched 10 years later by Tommy Moe. http://www.nydailynews.com/amp/sports/more-sports/olympic-downhill-champion-bill-johnson-dies-aged-55-article-1.2505676?force_desktop=true?force_desktop=true ------ He just couldn't wrap his head around the fact skiing on a hill with trees at the bottom was a bad idea. I've never heard of a band with an all-male lineup having to cancel tours due to ovarian cancer. SC

It took him 18 months, but at least he did it with dignity and in private without having to notify the media every 10 minutes. That's what I meant. Ultimately she knows that publicity will increase sales of the upcoming album. Unlike Bowie, I doubt Joey or Rory Feek are very rich, so maybe they decided to go down this route to help provide financially for their young child. Are there that many people who still buy their albums from their local Cracker Barrel? There's only one here in Minnesota. I'm intrigued, yet at the same fearful to eat there. Eating there is fine, just don't bring kids cuz you'll get scalped for $20 or more in the gift shop. SC

Biggest 'miss(es)' by the DL Committee 2016
Sir Creep replied to Sir Creep's topic in DeathList Forum
Um.... His health hasnt had media coverage. Therefore it's not a miss at all. Sorry Guesty we don't wear 20-20 Hindsight glasses around here. It's only a MISS if we've posted about that person a time or two and said person is left off DL. Saudi King last year e.g. SC -
Of course it's not illegal. You are precisely correct. The person bore that risk. Had points been given (as originally done) it would have been up to US (as is what happened) to show he died before Jan 1. I didn't agree to take on that risk---said risk was that of (or should be) the team that selected Strickland. I think we said the exact same thing, mate. SC

Hold on, didn't I already post Bozo? :-? I loved Bozo, I was the right age to appreciate and watch him. SC
