I love these people that declare they've 'kicked cancer's ass' (or a variation). You know they just signed a death warrant. SC

While Americans are busy being overzealous in thanking veterans for their service, Brits are busy kicking theirs to death. A Second World War fighter pilot has died after being attacked in an NHS hospital by a fellow patient. Kenneth Tyrer, 90, hit his head and broke his hip when he was kicked to the floor. Two days later he was dead. In good Yank fashion, allow me to thank Hurricane and Spitfire pilot Kenneth Tyner for his service SC http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3128797/Spitfire-hero-90-kicked-death-NHS-ward-fellow-patient-Victim-s-family-report-assault-police-say-accountable.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 PS: what joiurnist says "Second World War"?? It's WWII. Jeesh. What next First World War?

Im confused about what this thread's topic is, but I blame a few oatmeal stouts at 1am. It can't be about models given the names. Oh well, I've read about 12 posts but none of it makes sense SC -
I hope so, I've a quadrillion Zimbabwean dollars riding on it What, all of $AUD 1.50, you big spender? Yes! Reminds me of what I said about the last hurricane to roll through Haiti: left 10,000 homeless, estimated damage $1,500.00.

Nice write up on CLee btw. He deserved better. It couldn't possibly take 30 minutes to throw together the vignettes we read re: each dead person. Dude was dead a fucking week. Egad SirC

What does "white on rice" mean? I think it means wholesome or something like that Seriously? Ok. Let's try this. I'll be all over Dole like a cheap suit. SC
-
There isn't (and never was) a goddamn thing wrong with 90-yr old Mugabe, he was an absolutely terrible pick by anyone who chose him 2015. This means you'll read his obit inside a week. SirC

That classic sitcom "As The World Turns". Yeah, more a soap than a sitcom. But there was no thread for it. I thought "Hollywood Possibilities" was a bit much. Surprised there isn't a Soap Opera thread, you should definitely launch one with this. SC

As it was mentioned several times yesterday. Ugh yes I seed, lo siento :-(

John Hurt pancreatic cancer. Not good. I like him. SC http://nation.com.pk/entertainment/17-Jun-2015/hurt-diagnosed-with-cancer

Now that he's my #7 pick, I'm going to be all over Mr Dole like white on rice. He's lined up to be honoured at a June 25th function. I predict he has to withdraw for 'some reason'. Btw maybe I got my wires crossed and it's his Puritan wife Elizabeth who is unaware of her pending doom? SC http://m.thenorthfieldnews.com/node/54009#.VYD6etm9LTo

Fuck knows why but that 'philatelic' word gave me a mental picture of some old fella looking after the Queens Dildos. Well what gets me is that title, or even a single word of that ostentatious title, appear nowhere in the link provided. Is this a family member, GCR, or neighbour or close friend maybe? SC

Cause of death hadn't been disclosed if be leery to accept that. For those not in the know this guy took a hokey radio show in my former Detroit market and launched it nationwide. A typical song would begin with his baritone drippy dialogue "Mary in Des Moines, Bill misses you and sends you this song..." Oh we all made fun of Alan Almond and he was spoofed by comedians etc, but that's the sincerest form of flattery. You'll be missed Alan Almond, and your sap. RIP SC

Lol never mind I read it wrong :-(

If you are black and from New Hampshire, you sing dem blues. Y-dub I really dig u attaching songs from these artists in your posts. Get to hear these folks for the first and last time in most cases. SC
-
Y-dub, You know...this is a thread about military intelligence and country-building. Not architects in the architecture sense of the word. SC

I think Mubarak or Kohl are the sensible choices here. Anyone research how quickly death sentences are carried out in Egypt (that would be useful info)? But of course when you've struck a nerve w The Reaper, best to be the bee in his bonnet. Women outlive men as a simple rule. So of Reagen vs Dole, I choose (the soon to be late) Bob Dole. SirC
-
Bob Dole doesn't like this! No doubt he's my 7th pick. SC
-
I wouldn't want to be Nancy Reagan or Bob Dole right now. What serendipity! SC

Woo Hoo I'm going into semi-retirement. SirC

Woo Hoo http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2015/06/16/kirk-kerkorian-dead-las-vegas-chrysler/28804065/ Now what's frightening is that 3 of the 5 people I reSearched have died in a month! The only two left are Reagan and Dole. They better watch their step. Sir Creep

As much as I felt like starting a Track & Field/Gymnastics thread, I fought hard not to as we tend to see these folks in the Olympics. This is a rare exception and we don't need threads for rare exceptions. Larry Stuart, a member of USC's national champion 1963 track and field team and captain of the 1964 squad, died of cancer at the Sand Canyon Hospital in Irvine, Calif. on June 6. He was 77 years old SC http://m.usctrojans.com/m/sports/c-track/spec-rel/061515aaa.html

How the hell is the UK media outlets a STRUGGLE to get an obit for the mayor of one of the three foremost cities in a country that puts Britain's royalty on it's currency? Jesus...... SC
