Did you ask him whether he had any objection? Also could you name him so those of us not related can pick him free of moral issues? Yeah, good points above. There are those - like Keith Richards - who appear happy to be picked hereabouts. EH? I must have missed him say that? On topic - does anyone have certain people to whom they have absolutely no familial connection, no work or friendship etc connection and is not a famous for being ill type who they won't pick out of admiration and or it just feels wrong? Also this year someone in my league chose Maggie Smith and if they had turned in that list I person rather than email I'd have beaten them with the most dexterous piece of furniture that was handy. Maggie Smith! The fahking AUDACITY!! I play to win and it's hard to imagine not choosing someone you know would score. My deepest respect would probably be toward musicians, an currently no names of note (pun intended), but if someone of stature of say Sir Elton came along in his second year of stage 3b lung cancer diagnosis, it'd be hard for me to write his name down. In the end I would I think, albeit regrettably.

Last year I told my entire league in advance anyone jinxing and picking Lauren Bacall I would personally come kick their ass. Not that I I still fear, but In fact no one did, yet my efforts were mocked by The Reaper and laughed at. SC (Lauren, it wasn't my fault---I did all I could)

Which is why I stand by my comment a month ago he was never as sick as his publicist or he himself (for same reason) said he was: to wit Stage 4. He'd never ever have survived. Did a licensed physician say 'I operated on Wilko and he's a miracle'? No. When I hear from an attending, I'll believe it. Same goes for Valerie Harper. SC

Did you post in Deaths of 2015 like you are supposed to as well? I posted two suicides yesterday it would be nice to see the trend continue SC The question of where to post a specific death also confused me at the beginning. I've decided to only post in the "Deaths of 20xx" thread when it's hard to categorize the person or when a category for that person doesn't exist, or if I have nothing else to say about the death of that person except for the fact itself, which I try to avoid however. It should go in both. To not put every single death in the Dead of 2015 voids the forum entirely. So cuss of you and your ilk we gotta search 5 dozen forums. Gracias. That makes sense. Pfft SC

"A day after quitting as Chairman of UN’s prestigious Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), TERI Director General RK Pachauri has been admitted to a city-based hospital for cardiac ailment. “His condition aggravated suddenly a few days back and he was rushed to hospital. He underwent stent procedure in 2010 and has been under constant medical monitoring since then,” said Pachauri’s lawyer Shankh Sengupta."
