How’s Your 2022 Shortlist going?
YoungWillz replied to The Old Crem's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I'll be starting research for my 1986 TOTP theme team in a week or so - several names are picking themselves, but I'm never sure they will all make the starting line tbh. My comedy team will probably (with a couple of changes) be exactly the same as this year - a total strike out this year (despite some previous picks expiring - so personal survivors list will look better - or should that be worse?). My main team - haven't decided. Do I go with some high profile popular picks or continue my desperate attempt to get 20 uniques? All the usual pointlessness - I don't participate in all the who might be dying forums, tweetblasts, internet dooberries, blah blah blah, in desperate attempts to score points. Had a year off from most of the games this year, which was good. I'll probably be back for some. -
I'll take your word for it, ha!! Can't see it, requires login, off the Book of Face for years.

Rumours Aaron Martens has died - anyone confirm? Possibly FB/Insta?

Turns out so far in 2021 it's Diamond, Harding and Blair. Can't remember another, but recent posts on this thread indicate quite a tidal wave of expiry dates about to become due. Could do worse than have a Theme Team of CBB alumni for 2022.

Lionel Blair becomes the first faller from Series 13 of CBB.

Always surprised he didn't actually murder Noel Edmonds on that Gotcha! Anyway, Grim Reaper awards him a further lifetime achievement Gotcha.
-
Remember him from MASH, personally. Would have qualified for the Scavvy Hunt, in Deep Space Nine and Enterprise.

Thank you for your service.

Absolutely the correct thing to do. Been involved in cronyism and backhanders for his mates for years. Totally in it for himself and his pals (mostly nobs and knob ends). Don't think I've disliked a current Tory MP as much apart from Mark Francois and Ministerial code breaker Priti Patel. Liz Truss and Andrea Leadsom are loathsome creatures....actually, I should never have started this list....

Sounds like it won't even get to the electorate. Looks like the vote in Parliament will not adhere to the recommendation. Now we know why.

Stage obit for magician Larry Parker aged 92: https://www.thestage.co.uk/obituaries--archive/obituaries/larry-parker Also wrote kids' stories and read some of them on Jackanory back in the day. The name might not be familiar but he was around for ages on the tellybox while I was growing up. Good Old Days here is an example:

Shame, picked him for my theme team for a couple of years, didn't qualify for this year. Could have stuck him on my main team, but, meh. Absolute legend, if he doesn't Qobit, I'll be astonished.

Sir Keith Skinner, 4th Baronet, aged 93 Death Notice: http://announcements.telegraph.co.uk/deaths/253165/skinner They are all called Thomas (after the first baronet) but they don't seem to use the name, even the heir is James rather than Thomas. Instructional in the ways of the aristos, the baronetcy relates to a fucking street in Chelsea. Yes, m'lord, until he's 3 blocks away.

Maybe I'll pick the old Snickers snacker out of spite for next year!
