Lone Dybkjaer, Danish politician and Poker Tourney pick, dead aged 80: https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?gs_lcp=CgZwc3ktYWIQAzIICAAQsQMQgwEyAggAMggIABCxAxCDATIFCAAQsQMyCAgAELEDEIMBMgUIABCxAzIFCAAQsQMyAggAMgcIABCxAxAKMgUIABCxAzoOCAAQ6gIQtAIQmgEQ5QI6AgguOg4ILhCxAxDHARCjAhCDAVDoDFjTL2CGM2gBcAB4AIAB3gGIAbQOkgEFNy43LjKYAQCgAQGqAQdnd3Mtd2l6sAEG&uact=5&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&client=tw-ob&sl=auto&tl=en&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.altinget.dk%2Fnavnenyt%2Fdoedsfald-fhv-miljoeminister-og-mep-lone-dybkjaer-80 -
Now my searching techniques are a little more sophisticated, I thought I'd go back and look at some of the earlier ones. Now here is a nice little article about The Innocents from August 1963 here: https://worldradiohistory.com/UK/Pop-Weekly/63/Pop Weekly 51 17th August 1963_19.pdf Gives the ages then as follows: Colin Giffin (19) - so born 1943/44; Roger Brown (19) - so born 1943/44; David Brown (20) - so born 1942/43 - all out of Surrey. I remember being confused because there was reference to both Roger Groom and Donald Groom - that confusion appears to have been resolved - Don Groom aka Roger Groom aka Roger Groome b. 1939 as per this: https://rateyourmusic.com/artist/roger-groome
-
Yeah, music biz is full of spiteful people determined to live! Ranking Roger was pure speculation - extremely ill about June or July the previous year, but his condition didn't escalate to possible and then ultimate terminal status until the year I picked him.
-
I'd have no problem with it, after all didn't someone else get a team for one of their kids in another pool?
-
Charles Clark has got serious religion, from what I can see. He's probably just hanging out with the queue for "heaven".
-
Let's put it this way...I expect at least 3 of my 5 Eurovisions to die within a year. Expectations are never lived up to though, ha!
-
Two slices of Toast? Don't mind if I do.... How's that going to work for you, though? He gives you a team and it's open for snaffles...though I believe Toast is an honourable person.

Eurovision and Bond were easy, FIFA some usual suspects, Nobel's more a shot in the dark. The Wiki list for space flyers - dropped a pin in 5 plus one sub! Took 2 and a half hours. Now they just need to survive for 6 weeks - I'll bet I lose a few, though that's why I'm confident - when I pick them it's generally a gift of immortality.

Team is in. Mwahahahahaha! Who needs weeks to think about it?

The Formations. There's a funeral notice for a Reginald Turner, born and died in Philly here: http://www.obits.org/memorials/4557-reginald-turner-sr/life_story Little to no information, who knows? The 1947 dob does give some hope, given the age of Bellmon/Bellman. More positive news on Victor Drayton, or should I say Victor Pierre Drayton, book out in 2014 regarding Gamble & Huff: https://www.amazon.com/Journey-Gamble-Huff-Formations-Story/dp/149758115X Does the middle name help here? Most of them were songwriters, writing for Wilson Pickett and Barbara Mason. Astonishing lack of information otherwise, especially as they were in at the start of the Gamble & Huff story.

Until I started researching The Floaters, I never knew that this existed:
-
The Floaters. Nothing overly substantial, I'm afraid. From looking, the now dead Larry Cunningham was the main spokesperson for the group. This appears to be Ralph Mitchell https://www.reverbnation.com/ralphmitchell indicating he is resident in Harper Woods, Michigan and also a member of a gospel outfit Sacred Praise. He'd be in his 60s. was still performing with The Floaters (reconstituted) as late as February 2020 from what I've seen on YouTube. Paul Mitchell - I got nothing. He was supposed to have become a producer in Detroit - I've even tried looking under James Mitchell (Jnr). Charles Clark - I'm not on FB but two accounts at least seem to exist here: https://www.facebook.com/people/Charles-Clark/100018667261125 and here https://www.facebook.com/charles.winningsouls some biographical details there, maybe he's posted up some articles about his time with the Floaters. Seemingly resident in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, he joined the group when he was fourteen. Now there is an article here: https://worldradiohistory.com/Archive-Billboard/70s/1977/Billboard 1977-07-23.pdf Far from being formed in 1976, Cunningham specifically says they had been performing for around 12/13 years - this puts Clark's dob somewhere around 1950/51 I'd say.

Flintlock. John Summerton's Companies House Entry born 1961: https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/officers/9d32iQoBRxVGrYZWrsurD2uIcOI/appointments Interview with the band here which confirms Mike and John were ages with each other, although sadly nothing on the ages of the other band members, other than a reference to them taking their A Levels, which indicate they are a year older than Mike and John?: https://worldradiohistory.com/UK/Record-Mirror/70s/76/Record-Mirror-1976-06-12.pdf Also out of Dagenham, but hey....

5000 Volts Here is some information on Mike Nelson, born in Australia in 1949: http://www.figjammedia.com.au/mike_nelson/ewExternalFiles/7 Mike Nelson Bio.pdf Kevin Wells is a nightmare. Seems to be some doubt as to whether he is the same Kevin Wells who played drums with Huey Lewis in Clover. If it is the same one he was 56 in 2010 according to a news article but I can't for the life of me tie him in definitely to a period in London.

Not really. If you look at the Masterlist, there's a link that takes you directly to the leaderboard anyway. I try and move the leaderboard to a new page as soon as possible so it's always on the last current page of the thread.

America lost its head in the 2016 election, now it has lost its conscience. And John Lewis was picked by … practically everyone, those who didn't, you know who you are. We shall still be playing Where Do You Go To My Lovely over the loudspeakers in honour of Zizi Jeanmaire, as we are not overtly political, but those who want a burst of We Shall Overcome may adjourn to our newly installed Escape Rooms to listen to it on a loop until you escape! Anyway, enough of the preamble, Joey Russ remains on top with 4 hits, and markb4 joins those of us on the leaderboard with his first hit. The following bonuses were awarded: markb4 hits an A - 5 Additional Points. theoldlady hits a Red Joker and receives the 50 Point Joker bonus. Coincidentally, she is now on the same points as Bibliogryphon, and has played the same cards as him, although with completely different hits. Spooky! Clorox Bleachman makes a pair of Js - 10 Additional Points. Leaderboard updated.

John Lewis makes hit #9 for me here.

Death Notice for Laurie Hinton, one of the scientists who worked on radar during WWII and probably helped win the Battle of Britain, aged 97: http://announcements.telegraph.co.uk/deaths/243020/hinton
