I quite like the Scavenger Pool. I like the idea of changing the game runner and a simple 5 name category. I've now a passing interest in cricket now.

The Deathlist Christmas Special!
YoungWillz replied to Lady Die's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Ok I did this last year. Gotchas and Pointless Celebrities (I've never forgiven Handy for that one!). I'll be on my own doing nothing on Christmas Day. (Not sure I'm ready to embrace Satan quite yet, he he). So if anyone has a desperate need for a Christmas list they'd like me to do, let me know and I'll collate as far as I can. -
You mean here? : https://forums.deathlist.net/topic/4105-the-monkeys/?p=83128

Just an FYI I almost never click on these 2016Names links and I can't be alone in that. IOW 99% of what's posted here is banter--not even health updates--and I couldn't care less what anyone thinks about any of these folks on DL, so I mark as read and move on. Please don't bury an obit here, especially when the person is of repute. That is all. SC You are becoming a tiresome troll.
-
And by cancer nobodies you mean who--Joey Feek? In a year some people are getting 20 hits (with no assistance from cancer nobodies) I'll give you a small pat on the backside for your 3-bagger. SC Huh? That is a seriously old post and out of date and you went back to post whore this comment? Pathetic.

Saxophonist Herb Hardesty, heard on most of Fats' recordings, has died aged 91. http://www.wwltv.com/news/local/herb-hardesty-best-known-as-fats-dominos-saxophonist-dies-at-91/362631252 Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herbert_Hardesty Ain't that a shame...

Sammy Lee, who won gold at the 1948 and 1952 Olympics in diving for the USA, has died aged 96. https://swimswam.com/legendary-american-diver-sammy-lee-dies-96/ DDP pick. Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sammy_Lee_(diver)

"Marco, Merrick, Terry Lee, Gary Tibbs and yours truly" Funny what sticks in my mind for years. Who's that Kevin dude in the photo in the DM? Oh, and Sir Creep, you need to read the article again. Merrick Hughes is a producer, not a plumber. Terry Lee is the plumber. Kevin was the bassist on Kings Of The Wild Frontier. Lasted less than a year. Just as they got famous, off he went, thus allowing Gary Tibbs the glory years.

As I was trawling through 1980 possibilities, he stood out as a guaranteed obit principally because he wrote that song. I think only Adam Ant, Pirroni and Hughes would obit widely.(no offence to Terry Lee and Tibbs).
-
I see my DDP pick Chris "Merrick" Hughes (former Ant) has put his Wiltshire home up for sale. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3970652/A-pad-fit-Prince-Charming-Adam-Ants-drummer-Chris-Merrick-Hughes-puts-five-bedroom-country-manor-house-complete-recording-studio-sale-1-95million.html Nice photos of the property if you are a Homes Under The Hammer type of person ('m not). Scroll down to the end of the article for an update on the members of the band.

Hope he is ok. If he goes, my Inverse DP chances (however remote) can go in the bin.

Been To Any Good Gigs Lately?
YoungWillz replied to Brinsworth House Baiter's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Going to see bands was never my thing. Only been to three in my life. Bronski Beat (original incarnation) circa 1984; Natalie Imbruglia at Barrowlands - only went to accompany my brother, but worth it to see her getting chibbed by a thrown water bottle; and Madness at the SECC - Christmas show that went on for hours. I'd love to see Green Day live, but no ambition beyond that. -
I'm optimistic that only one of my three teams look like finishing bottom this year. Dang you to hell medical science (Parfitt and Van Day).

McDonald's - bad for your health ...
YoungWillz replied to Death Watch Beatle's topic in DeathList Forum
Additionally, in passing we should note that Andrew J McKenna (b. 1929) stepped down as non-executive Chairman of McD's this year. Very possible he'd get a FT Obit. -

Had a quick look and the inventors of the Chicken Nugget, Filet-O-Fish and the Burger King Whopper are dead too. Still to find out who invented the Apple Pie That Is Hotter Than The Centre Of The Sun. -
Death Notice for Sir John Anthony Swire, former Chairman of John Swire And Sons (original!) and various Boards of Directors, who has died aged 89. http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/timesonline-uk/obituary.aspx?n=john-anthony-swire&pid=182841502 Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Anthony_Swire Looks like his brother Adrian is still alive. And if you are a billionaire it's a guaranteed Honour "from the Queen". And a guaranteed obit to follow.

Time for a Masterlist then...
