Political Discussions And Ranting Thread

Whatever happened to collective Cabinet responsibility? Cameron allows people to sit in Government while actively opposing his position on Brexit. May allows people to sit in Government while actively opposing her position on Brexit and on Heathrow expansion. This isn't the lack of a formal opposition from Labour (Corbyn's last couple of PMQs have been quite impressive) which is a fiction perpetuated by Tories and Red Tories (Labour MPs who might as well be Tories). Both major parties in England are irrevocably divided on most major issues, have been going for too long and represent narrow interests instead of the national interest. While allegedly opposing each other, they chum about the House of Commons like old friends. And yet they still continue to fool the vast majority of voters. I...just...don't...get...it... -
Sorry my friend!

Yeah right, whatever happened to him? Dying of brain cancer, that's what! http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/dying-pop-star-peter-skellern-9116751 Such tragic news...being ordained. Without the black humour however, I'm really sorry to hear this news. Is he famous enough for the Deathlist? Possibly, though more for pools I'd have thought. Definitely will get all major outlet news and a guaranteed BBC obit.

Now that David Gest Pete Burns have copped it, is it time for me to break out my list making abilities for all the CBB contestants?
-
Ah, remember it was not cool to be like me back in the day. And it was still illegal for me to do the nasty, even in 1984. Had to wait until Uni before the proper outlets became available to me.
-
I'm going to review my team. I may have a matter of hours or minutes, given the rate they are dropping.
-
And he only had to wait another three years to make it into my theme team. You Spin Me Round was the first record I danced to in a club. Got my first snog right after, too.

For the List of the Missed, Pete Burns: http://www.derbydeadpool.co.uk/deadpool2006/celebs_B.html#burnsp https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/2040990/pete-burns-has-passed-away-aged-57/

Joey Russ got the obit first. *spins round like a record*

Phew, this year never ends in taking the talented ones. Take good care of him, wherever he is. RIP.

Is that a grade? Bit harsh if it is. Yeah, if I were grading Sir Creep's first DDP year, I'd give it a B- : under-performed expectations, but expected to do much better next semester... The original post was a rant about Adamowicz. Amended to the shortened form of "F uck, I've posted without looking again"

No room for Eddie Murphy in Trading Places? Disgraceful. Everyone in that movie was just superb.

American Football (And Other Yank 'sports')
YoungWillz replied to RadGuy's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Sports seems to be a kind of religion in the US. This, I do not understand. Mind you, I don't understand our obsession with (as it is a US thread I'll use your term) soccer. I think I may have enjoyed sports more at school, had it not been (i) taught by thugs, and (ii) played by stupid thugs. A self-perpetuating cycle of stupid people. I understand it is better now, though, there are classes on theory and psychology and physiology as well as the practical side of things. That said I was a handy sprinter in my youth, as well as a cross-country runner. Which came in handy running away from said thugs. -
Brian Jackson, the Man From Del Monte, is getting on a bit and has had a bit of a mishap. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/lifestyle/tv/casualty-actor-injured-himself-set-12066189

More sad news on the Dad's Army front. The cast of the most recent movie all appear to be alive.

Jimmy Perry lifts me off the ground floor on this pool. One hit, not like me, I normally get none. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-37743674

Yep, only two hits all year. Better than Joe Dolce managed.
