Fairly entertained by the Til Death Us Do Part remake. I'm too young to remember the original, though I have seen snippets. I do feel there wasn't enough snarl to Simon Day's performance, and it kind of worked originally because Alf was originally depicted as an angry short man. Simon's height would have made Alf a much more intimidating figure to his family, rather than an affectionate figure of ridicule. The wife was spectacular though, comic timing to perfection.

Cricket Thread. Only Mad Dogs And Englishmen
YoungWillz replied to The Four Horsemen's topic in DeathList Forum
Australian Test cricketer Len Maddocks has died aged 90. http://premier.cricketvictoria.com.au/pageitem.aspx?id=131460&id2=1&eID=3&entityID=3 I know I and a couple of others had him on the Scavenger Hunt, so hopefully this link is enough to count for that. Edit: A better one: http://www.espncricinfo.com/australia/content/story/1053191.html -

Unverified claim he's copped it: https://www.zimeye.net/unverified-report-claims-mugabe-has-died-mid-air/ Ah, the coming hours of denials, followed by him tripping down some stairs....or perhaps being carried away in a body bag...let the speculation begin.

How did Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis and Chuck Berry make it past 85??? Years of consuming preservatives. (Ah, the 1970s!)

I'll re-iterate my perspective, seeing as I posted. For my part, I post notices which may be of interest. Particular threads are an opportunity to post for fans of particular shows, such as this one. Having been forced to watch the show (I was never a fan) I do remember the lady in question, and though she got only local coverage, a wider fanbase may happen upon here and mourn her loss. Most folk don't go hunting the internet for deaths, unless they suddenly go "I wonder whatever became of such and such?".
