I thought it was France's turn last year (Hebdo; Paris - November 2015). Someone give them a break (after Jacques Delors and Leslie Caron have died of course).

Oh, controversy over the new rules begins. Rulings awaited.

What a shock! I remember with deep satisfaction his win over Couples who had been so smarmy when USA had won the previous Cup. RIP big man.

We had Judith Malina (Grandma Addams) pass away last year, she went quite quietly as I recall. Only one paper picked up on her. Pat Priest is probably a 50-50 shot to obit over here I'd say, but you never know. I've heard of Barbara Rush, seen her in a few things (maybe not the sci-fi early stuff). Given her body of work and particular that she worked with James Mason, Richard Burton etc I can see her getting picked up on over in the UK. You've surprised me with Roger Corman...thought he was long gone, but no! Definitely will obit. Don't worry about doubling up on lists, we've all done it - I just did the same last month!

You're probably looking at 60% getting hits UK-side. Meantime, you've got Lee Meriweather twice, did you mean to place another name in one of those slots?

95 + 95 = 190? Anyway, I think a few of us (me included) are going to have to bank on old Emma Morano forgetting her daily routine to catch up! Cracking start!

Author of books on this and also Robert Kennedy's assassination.

See this story I posted at Deathrace which confirms the statement issued by Stigwood's office: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/culture-obituaries/music-obituaries/12081742/Bee-Gees-former-manager-Robert-Stigwood-has-died-aged-81.html

Sian (alternatively Syan) Blake, former EastEnders actress, who went missing. Three bodies found at family home, presumably she's dead, probably murdered, say BBC. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-35235288 Couple of roles in Casualty and Doctors too. -
I've never heard of her and don't intend to google her.

Thanks for picking this one up, time. Telegraph have it now too, so that's the broadsheets: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/culture-obituaries/music-obituaries/12081742/Bee-Gees-former-manager-Robert-Stigwood-has-died-aged-81.html youwanticewiththat, wasn't he a pick for you on Shaun's Death By Numbers too? This obit is good enough for a score on that game.

Had a quick look - Peter Hooten was Dr Strange and Michael Ansara seems to have been the uncredited voice of The Ancient One. Don't think I've seen it aired in the UK. Though the whole film is here: https://youtu.be/vNu6RVLXAR8

This may sound convoluted, but it's true. As you may guess, I became very familiar with the 2015 DDP celeb list last year while doing the round ups. Stigwood was one of those names that I must have linked with a selection, or something, and I looked him up and saw he was still alive. I remembered his name from various albums I bought over the years. When putting my 1980 Hits DDP team together, obviously ABBA came up (Benny Andersson is on that team this year), reminded me of the rivalry between Stig Anderson and Stigwood, and I meant to place him (Stigwood that is) in Shaun's deadpool, but forgot. When doing the Crowdsourced Deathlist (which I told msc my PM would be my personal list [Edit: see here: http://www.deathlist.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=8609&p=242901), I put him in the team (I think round about mid table). So it was just a feeling, no research, but his name was so interlinked with my preparations for this year, on he went. You'd better ask what info youwanticewiththat had as he seems to have had him on both Deathrace and Shaun's deadpool. Edit: I think Stigwood was also involved with Mike Berry at some stage (He's on my 1980 Hits DDP entry as well), so it was kind of picked for me from somewhere in the ether. Maybe my late godmother's parting gift somehow.

time has confirmed over on Deathrace 2016 http://www.deathlist.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=8601&p=247500 and corroborative story here http://ultimateclassicrock.com/robert-stigwood-dies/ appears to confirm Robert Stigwood has died at 81. My first ever deadpooling hit, if only on my personal list!

The 'news' appears to 'break' from this Farcebook post, three hours ago. Can't help feeling the big boys would know about it if it was true. Why is it always me? I had this hassle last year with Terry Gilliam! Ah well, there's loads of the year to go to get it debunked or confirmed. Edit: The link is back up. I'll await a corroboration before claiming my first ever deadpooling hit, even if it's on my own list and gets me no points anywhere!
-
Broken link? I have him somewhere on my teams, maybe not this one. Edit: Darn looks like just my personal team.
