Advice generally is to abide by the laws of the outgoing and incoming country. Contact the British consulate, embassy or high commission of the country in which the cremation took place and the appropriate advice and paperwork can be sorted from there.

You mean the one who authored that book I mentioned last year? That's a key point otherwise it looks like we would get excited over some random bodyguard..... I thought it rang a faint bell with me! Nothing came up on my search, apologies for not quoting you. *humbled by DrZ*

I hate it as much as the next man but it's a case of 'if you can't beat em, join em' Until TMIB or whoever runs the show says different, it is what it is unfortunately. Thanks for the acknowledgement Going Underground and congrats on your hit. I guess anyone outside the UK would have said the same about Tom Coyne and maybe a few within the UK! But certainly for a British pool, it's fortunate (his story was extremely well covered in the Independent, Huff Post UK and Daily Mail back in September last year though).

or it could go in the sci fi thread, where it did go a few hours ago Yep, it could. Only I posted 6 minutes before charon (no disrespect, he felt it should go there) however he was an honoured member of Melbourne Theatre Company and made many appearances in television and on the stage. I felt personally to consign his career and life to one episode of Dr Who by reference to that thread was to do the man and his life a disservice. He is entitled to be in any thread applicable and I have no difficulty with you or anyone else posting what I have already posted in such threads.

Sad news, I remember him, grand player. Me and my brothers back in the 1970s each picked an English team to follow, one from each division. One of mine was Everton (the others being Man U, Ipswich and Watford) and we used to watch results and highlights back in the day. RIP Andy, yet another King lost this year.

Bit harsh considering his condition, but as a bridge player, perhaps "Playing Dummy"? He was in films called Mysteries of Egypt and The Last Valley, so something from that perhaps?
