Tactless Question for Poms: Is this Town England's A*hole Capital?
TQR replied to Davey Jones' Locker's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
This shitty Venn took 90 seconds on Word but it sums up my personal observations: -
-
No way, José.
-
“My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness.” ― Dalai Lama XIV
-
Spaces 1-4 all taken for José José, I’m afraid.
-
Spike Milligan told us he was ill on 27th Feb 2002. He was 83.
-
Think Feb is done for me. Though if James, Jowell, Vervoort or Ding Dong die within the next 48 hours I'm gonna fucking piss. Quim's March Malingerers: 1) José "José José" Jose 2) Ken Dodd 3) Leah Bracknell 4) Sri Sri Sri Sri Sri Sri Sri Sri Sri Sri Sri Sri Sri Sri Shivakumara Swamigalu 5) Kirk Douglas

You know her personally, Tenzin?
-
It was the Ender Wendy Richard on this day 9 years ago, aged 65.

If Nabi Tajima is still around on 10th April (44 days time), she will become the third oldest person ever to have lived, at 117y 249d. Only Sarah Knauss (119y97d) and Jeanne Calment (122y164d) have ever done better.
-
But factually, a corker.
-
Apparently died of 'Natural Causes'. Only 53. She was excellent in Dibley. Great shame
-
I don't.
-
Really upset by this. Fry's a god.
-
Kirk and Olivia will die before Vera, though I don't know where, don't know when.
-
Papa John Creach (the American jazz & blues violinist, not the Madonna song) stopped fiddling on this day 24 years ago, aged 76.

If anything, your aforementioned words were far from stiff enough: the man was an arsehole. Religion is often - not always, but certainly very often - inherently discriminatory. It's all well and good to have one's own beliefs but to preach to others that their own ways, beliefs, mannerisms and traits are wrong in the eyes of their 'god', that's where it becomes inflammatory and a largely sore topic. Reverend Billy would've found you an unacceptable human being, and me, and many others, for varying reasons. And that's because he was an appalling bigot, fixated only on his religion and paying no heed to the divisive nature and general distress and truculence it caused. Happily, he's now in the process of rotting.
-
Aha, forgot I picked Reverend William. A solid 1 point! Nice.
-
Well, it's interesting, I thought I'd give Leah Bracknell a go this time. 17th time lucky and all that.
-
Ah, forget it, Bracknell's mocking me. Still gets my vote, though.
-
By the way, over 200 pages of excellent one-line memorials, and yet this thread hasn't been pinned? How odd. Yes, that is a suggestion. Anyway, on with the dead people...Malcolm became an X-human rights activist at the age of 39, when he was shot 53 years ago today in an incident in which, for legal reasons, one cannot confirm nor deny the involvement of current Deathlist candidate Louis Farrakhan. Reminds me of someone...

Dead Peter Falk Is Suffering From Alzheimer's Disease
TQR replied to DevonDeathTrip's topic in DeathList Forum
Terrible news about Peter Falk. I didn't even know he had Alzheimer's! -
Director, gardener and gay rights activist Derek Jarman sadly died of an Arse Injected Death Sentence related illness on this day 24 years ago. He was 52.
-
Can we just go along with your dream so I get the 5 points for James?
