Used to rate Corry but Emmerdale has improved and passed it of late.

Hack, re the hunch, I keep assumin' you're summat in medicine and working amongst the notoriously unhealthy living scots. Is this the case?

    Banksy

Banksy's argument is that the elephant - blended against the background - represents the major problems of the world we ignore whilst we do less important things. Interestingly, in the film done for BBC News about his US exhibition there were shots of the people setting up the exhibition whilst the voice over said 'is this Banksy?' a few times. One of the people shown was Robert Banks.

Get them four posts in TLC, we're already celebrating on your behalf on the twunting thread.

BHB, if it's any consolation we like you the way you've always been so it might be an idea to - like - deal with the immediate trauma of accidental exposure to Chesty Morgan and then go back to being yourself. Like her, I guess you're in desperate need of support!

Dr Hack As a medical sort, how common would you say the above skill is in the general population.

Indeed, stayin' power to be respected but I get the feeling the survivors on the DL are ganging up on us!

Whom Are You Tarring With The Epithet "twunt"?

And respect from me; I'll give TLC an extra big wave at Charlton tomorrow.

Much appreciated Octi, I'm always wary of comments and even links on You Tube since some prove themselves to be complete bollocks supporting hoaxed footage. I'm not suggesting anyone went to the trouble of hoaxing that crash but sometimes, especially with footy clips you get the footage and a plausible explanation only to find the two are not linked, especially where minor, non-league or foreign games are involved.

Not if you're bulimic or a professional athlete it doesn't! It's the aimless sitting around and slow metabolism that comes with the mind numbing depression and all pervading sense of pointlessness that eventually overwhelms and sends you back to the biscuit tin for the sugar rush that wears off and leads to the aimless sitting around and slow metabolism that comes with the mind numbing depression and all pervading sense of pointlessness that eventually overwhelms and sends you back to the biscuit tin for the sugar rush that wears off and leads to the aimless sitting around and slow metabolism that comes with the mind numbing depression and all pervading sense of pointlessness that eventually overwhelms and sends you back to the biscuit tin for the sugar rush that wears off and leads to the aimless sitting around and slow metabolism that comes with the mind numbing depression and all pervading sense of pointlessness that eventually overwhelms and sends you back to the biscuit tin for the sugar rush that wears off and leads to....

I least suspect Cliff Richard. Clean living ballad singer with a devoted fan base and a history of keeping himself fit, a la Mr Pitney.

Indeed our drive by ranter has a point. Found myself watching 'You, Me and Dupree,' today, amiable tosh but no great movie but there is a small part for a massive security guard and at one point Owen Wilson asks him; 'Are you Samoan?' My point, there's a kind of fat stereotype about south sea islanders and it's unfair because some of those involved get fat through depression and frustration, something we see enough in the UK and USA. In the same way the stereotype of mean scots is ironic. It was an image created by the first English tourists who travelled to Scotland by train in the 19th century. They interpreted the lack of shopping and locals flashing their cash as evidence of meanness. Really it says more about the ignorance of those tourists. F**k, I reckon I'm missing my vocation, should be gannin' to the Liberal conference this week, or summat.

Do any of the usual experts - Lawro and OoO - recognise this clip or know the story? I'm guessing from what we see and the grim music that it's a fatality and that the second car involved hits debris left from the first accident, whereupon the driver of the second car is probably killed by the impact. Hope for his sake he was, the subsequent fire isn't too funny. Not recommended for the nervous but it's nowhere near as grim as Tom Pryce or Lorenzo Bandini.

As a matter of interest, was it Iain, or anyone else hereabouts who posted that John Prescott was dead on the Wikipedia?

You're not on a limey's only site, and if you're the same idiot that favourably compared PPM to black music, seemingly on the basis that the racial base of rap and the rest made it inferior it might be worth your while noting that you're not on a whites only site either. I could go on but unless you can put an argument together without leaks I might just leave you to the scavenging antics of our resident Jackal who appears to enjoy ripping ranters to shreds. Go well

Hack, good to see yers back in action on the footie thread. Gretna could always ground share, maybe somewhere just south of the border, with a capacity of - ooh - 16,500 or thereabouts. Can't see it happenin' like.

    Ideas and possibilities for 2007

Michael Mayne, big player in religious affairs at the BBC and emeritus summat or other in religious stuff at Westminster has published what is probably his last book. He recovered from ME and got terminal cancer. TBH he'd be a shoe in for next year but lacks a Wiki page and may lose out on a major paper obit. I just hope he sticks his opinion into the furore created by the pope this week, a bit of profile raising on his part now would help us around here later.

Now there's an idea BHB, I wonder if that poor sap who screamed out loud in the cinema behind me was similarly turned and may - to this day - stalk internet chat rooms seeking out male companions who; 'must have flat and firm chest.'

It's absolutely certain they did, can't find it on t'net as of this morning mind. The crew on corrie are amongst the best paid of their kind in the UK, so like the demise of Tommy Cooper it's a moment that might never be leaked. Shame, Savident's intervention would be summat to see. 'He's had a coronary, I say.....'

Welcome PDM, that's an ambitious start and an orgasmic proposition to us posters on death related matters. Can't agree with Whitney or Courtney mind. Whitney's finally divorcing the source of most of her problems and Courtney seems skilled in the management of her train wreck personality to the point that it's part of her image. I reckon Francis Bean will go first!

Just because you've managed to place a few attempts at words on this forum doesn't make you intelligent, witty or informed. If I were you, I'd run before you're ripped apart by a Jackal.

Anubis; how many times do I have to warn people? Fish, barrels and guns are an inadvisable combination. You stand more chance of landing bullets in your own feet than hitting the fish and the water splashes everywhere. Electricity, a couple of seconds and you've got genocide in that circumstance, you know it makes sense.

    Who Locked My Thread?

Windsor, he's yet to ban me for that, mainly because I save the link to post after those drive by idiots who drop in offering links to their own web based scams and low grade money making activities. Fighting fire with fire, the posting of equilavent of the way I dealt with some Jehova's witnesses the other day. They wanted to come in and talk about their faith, I agreed so long as we could listen to some of my favourite death metal. They got edgy and split.

    Who Locked My Thread?

This thread is doomed, it'll die before anyone on the DL. So, I'll post the usual link I save for such occasions; GO MARYPORT! Then again, I've just visited the locked thread where - presumably - the result of - almost - 79% to 21% remains locked for all time too.

All being well he should attend the Labour conference in just over a week, that'll be a good insight into how healthy he is.
