    The Kings Of Tonga

That's a thoughtful gesture and their intention to supply the correct information is admirable. If only I had the right e-mail addresses I'd copy this link to the Israeli government, Gerald Ford and Margaret Thatcher's offices and the Astor family, to name a few.

    Ideas and possibilities for 2007

Me neither Vinegar Tits although I think she's had an on/off weight problem for years, probably a natural porker and therefore her late seventies early eighties slimness was taking more of a toll on her long term health than we realised. Looking at the cover of Hasten Down the Wind or Living in the USA she appears normal but if she's crash dieted and pigged out repeatedly she'll pay for it at this stage.

    Gerald Ford

He'll be back as a ranter, don't you think? Iain, that is, not Ford, who'll be back in hospital, eventually.

    Byron Nelson

Problem is the old bugger remains healthy to the point that little erosion of his all time status is not life threatening. We should maybe consider ageing sports stars only if they're also noted prima donnas, likely to have blood pressure surges when their long ago achievements are bettered by people they consider upstarts, or summat.

    The Weatherman Death Pool

You and me both Tempus, one dead former Irish PM is all I've got to show for a fairly conservative pick list with some conspiciously ill people amongst the team. I'm figuring on a law of probabilities terminal lung cancer and complex medical problems - a la Sharon - will deliver in the end.

    Gerald Ford

Re Thatcher, if you check out my post a couple of minutes back on her thread you'll see you can already order the Thatcher's dead t-shirt, and have some web fun celebrating her demise. I'll bet the webmaster lost his job to her policies in the eighties.

    Margaret Thatcher

Thatcher's dead merchandise and web fun. You can even order your t-shirt in preparation.

    Gerald Ford

Iain man, the stage is set for a slow lingering death and you have to ensure his long term survival by predicting he'll croak right away. Saw Michael Foot down the gym this afternoon, I would have hung around but it's embarrassing for an average guy like me to watch a guy in his nineties bench press twice his own bodyweight.

Good work Chicago, your arrival on this site was well timed. Your post above a superb summary.

Apologies OoO and the rest, shoulda done a search through the vast site. Mind you, Jack Vance is still 90 today so there's some topicality in posting his name at the moment. I think he's good for a year or two. But in his nineties he worth watching.

    New Here and saying Hi.

Who just happens to be in Israel? Just askin' like. Though TBH any of us could e-mail a mate abroad and punt the contents of a post their way.

Cheers Hein, that posting address is not summat I'd have put money on. Strange folk exist everywhere, eh?

Jack Vance another bloody coffin dodging author, legally blind but still writing through voice activated software. I'm sure we all send hearty congratulations on his 90th birthday today.

    Department S

He appeared in After They Were Famous in 2002, can't say I saw it myself but someone surfing hereabouts must have.

    Gerald Ford

This is one for the stattos then obviously, but where does that place him in the all time survivors list, i.e. the list of those who've appeared most on a list without dropping dead?

    New Here and saying Hi.

Cheer up Bruno, I'm guessing you missed out on nowt, she probably only existed as a figment of some other posters imagination. We're getting a small but regular trickle of advert and wind up posts although the mods seem to move in fast enough most of the time and delete any pointless product placement.

    Stuart Hall

The above from TV Cream, I'd agree with this. He's out of touch and out of time with the other reporters who seem to have been watching the game whilst he seems to spend every Saturday - if not the rest of his time - in some altered state of consciousness.

    DeathList "Dead" Chat!

Based on about nine minutes a couple of days back I'd say it's lively and informative with a few laughs available.

    Buster Bloodvessel

That's a class mask, clearly taken from yer man Tor's performance of unsurpassable genius in Plan 9 From Outer Space.

    Jane Tomlinson Killer Ride

Pooka, are you saying before she was famous for biking she was - like - the town bike?
  22. maryportfuncity

    New Here and saying Hi.

Not much sign of her comin' back eh?

    Modern Casualties

If we're talking future technology and death I reckon normal cars, burning fossil fuels on a previously unseen scale in China and India will see loads off because they'll ensure the climate is knackered. Floods, hurricanes, droughts ......DEATH!!!

    Gerald Ford

Dunno, Ford will have access to private medical care and better check ups than us plebs could hope to match. It's possible both moves are prevention measures and he's suffered no attacks, meaning his 93 year old heart muscle is - well - old but still gannin'.

Formula 1 & Other Motor Racing

Thanks guys. I reckon I'll cruise Amazon until some cheapo second hand copy of the Amon book appears. I'll look out for Rapid Response and the one on the Brise, Williamson etc.
