The EU Referendum Hokey Cokey
Lord Fellatio Nelson replied to YoungWillz's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
But happy to be associated with Nigel Farage, Michael Gove and Katie Hopkins? No, I'd be behind the curtains in one of the 'empty' houses. My point is that there were enough problems with the General Election surveys. It is not realistic to assert that because everyone I asked was with me the result is wrong. To true. My straw poll at the 2015 election of people I knew was something like 6 Green, 4 Labour, 2 Tories and a stray raving loony in terms of the people I asked, am I too assuming that because the Green party didn't win the election, it was all a fix. Or would I not be better placed to decided that actually, the number The Vote Leave site set up a website with the sole intention of tricking young people into thinking they'd registered to vote - if that's not a dirty war tactic I don't know what is. Got a linky?? The actual page has been taken down but it was massive news yesterday and the day before. Basically they used adwords so that the page which when loaded by smartphone had very little to identify it wasn't the registration site, despite it being the first result in google due to an adwords campaign when searching "register to vote" and "register to vote in EU Referendum" etc etc. Yes, most people should've realised it was not the right site, but how would a first time voter know etc? https://politicalscrapbook.net/2016/06/vote-leave-quietly-delete-its-fake-register-to-vote-page-after-being-exposed/ http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/36462432 Another new Political low then......... -

I think a point is being missed. Even if the remain campaign succeeds its not going to be by a big majority. This means Cameron is dead in the water and so is our full ' we are in it no matter what' stance on the EU. This wont go away, it will heavily influence every major Political decision the Government of the day will make. You are going to have a major groundswell of people who, come what may, will fight and harangue the next Prime Minister over our membership. This last 24 hrs have shown how desperate the remain campaigners have become. Extend the time to register? Why? FFS, people have had ample time, if the fuck knuckles leave it to the last second tough shit. It also looks like a 'professional blogger' was planted to give Farage a kicking. Nowt like a dirty war, is there. -

...and their bigger cousins are in Derby. http://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/Derby-residents-vent-anger-waste-site-owner-flies/story-29367328-detail/story.html I'm highly allergic to mosquito bites. I got bit on my foot about a month ago, and my foot was too swollen for me to put my shoes on, and I could barely put pressure on that foot for a couple of days. Have ya tried being bitten on yer knob ?

It was wonderful to see cunts guests unable to post, the likes of 'David' and 'Droosy' have been fucked off to elsewhere on'tweb to piss others off. The trade off, however, is that we have new members that are utter wank and make my postings look like the work of a fucking genius. The worst of them takes no advise or opinion and has put his feet under the table like he is some sort of veteran who is smart, witty and way better than the rest of us. He even makes SC look completely reasonable. Another just cannot help posting pointless threads that are beyond inane. It can be hard enough getting fluid posting up on here but some of these newbies are crucifying the place with their shit. Nice to see one thread get binned, we need to bin more and the people that post them up. Yeah, im in a bad mood today.

Ummmmmm. I will have a go. They have died or have they could apply to people that we were told were dead but were not like Jim Morrison. Rumours of their demise could apply to Lord Lucan and, back in the day, John Stonehouse. The first were officially declared dead but there are conspiracy theories that they wernt really and the other one is where people are assumed dead but no body/proof has been provided. Maybe.

They are making you look like the Malcolm Muggeridge of the forum, kid.is he your retirement home Buddy. Hope not. He died in 1990. Fuck, he did, he could have been reincarnated into MK...................

Is that it?????? Fucking hell, come on, if you are going to start a thread explain yourself and give an example or three. Don't expect everybody else to entertain you. Well, Jack Black has apparently died cause of a hacker So the hacker ran him over with their tricycle? Shot him? Stabbed him? Threw him out of a Hotel window?

MK can be forgiven for lame 'jokes' because he is a child. You have no such excuses.

Is this a genuine question? It's an abbreviation of the old saying Rest in Peace, traditionally said to the dead person as they die, or once they have died. Yes it is. I'm curious why it came about? It's not that you see any of the departed cavorting down the High St post-mortem or taking up Zumba or coming back to complain of their burial. I am aware of the wonders of WIKI, but we have some real experts here:) It goes way back. I want to say that there have been variations of "RIP" found back to the 10th century, but something in my head says even older than that. College was a while back. It's actually "Requiescat in Pace" - the Latin - and before that was "Dormit in Pace" (He is sleeping in peace). I've never seen anything that indicates the actual start of the idea that the body is "resting" rather than decomposing but I had a professor once link it to the idea that the soul and the body will reunite someday, at which time the body would be made incorruptible by God's power. So, in the meantime, the body would be in some sort of waiting period in the tomb. As far as I know it's one of those things that is lost in the beginnings of the idea of eternal life. Let me know if you find anything anywhere about the beginnings of these ideas. They interest me. I love this place. You can go from the massive twat ( me) to the super smart ( CA ) in a couple of posts. Ah, but both gorgeous, well spoken, and.....never mind. Bald? You massive w***er!! -

Deathray told us.https://forums.deathlist.net/topic/7758-things-to-do-while-waiting-for-death/page-30#entry267720 Sorry. I'm still working out what forum is best for new topics I start. So far I think I'm 0 for 2. How about actually researching what threads exist before launching new (and unnecessary) ones? Why do you feel compelled to start new fahkin threads as you aver? SC If by researching you mean checking all of the several thousand messages I haven't read, well I don't have time for that. I did check a few of the forums I thought such a topic might fall under; clearly I never thought of the one where it actually is. As for being compelled to start new threads, I've done that twice (including this one). And I've apologised both times. I suppose I'm lucky you're not one to bear a grudge. Don't listen to what he has to say, he is just a post whoring tool who has absolutely zero clout on the forum. As you were. -

Personally, I don't like his voice, his 'Santa Claus is coming to town' rendition is, quite possibly the worst vocals ever on any record. Having said that, as a song writer, his contribution to music is as important as Dylan ( another god awful singer) in terms of capturing the mood and times of modern America and the World or summat. Its like, you write brilliant songs but give them to others to sing. Each to their own, though. -

I don't mind the new main page but, come on, the most important part of DL is its forum and the access to it as right at the bottom of the bloody page. Doh!!!!!!!!! -

He had a very intrusive 'life saving' operation back in November and some SEVEN months later he is still in recovery. That's bollocks, seven months down the line, if the fella is still not well enough to do this or that he is in a bad way. At his age (88?) he is never really going to get better, it is what it is, a very old man has had a serious operation and will never return to his pre op health condition. Hey, he came to be operated on after 'having a fall' at home which clearly suggests that he was a bit doddery beforehand.
