Does it still pay to commit people to asylum? So long as the Asylum has no internet access, yes.

    Terrorists & Topical Terrorist Targets

I dont feel like celebrating this scumbags death. He has now escaped the clutches of justice, his punishment is over, as is his pain. Ive no doubt that, when he passed over to the other side ( if you believe) he will have many things to face. Unfortunately he wont have to face four walls of a cell the size of a gnats chuff for the rest of his miserable life. The bastard evaded retribution.

In the desert the goddess has a tongue that can speak many languages fluently. She alerts me that 'this individual' is speaking a foreign language that makes no sense to the public intelligence. She calls him madly insane. Er yes, so did you not work out who she was reffering to?

Guests, A Deathlist Enhancement, Or Detriment?

Please disregard my previous post. Ban guests from posting. I think we can live without the 1% of good posts if it means keeping some serious cockspanners from infesting the site like flies round a wet fart. Regards LFN ( who has never ever masqueraded as a guest)

Did he die wanking too? "Cark"?, "Wanking"? Ah, Handrejka, these are obviously Manx words which you have picked up! What a truly beautiful tongue! Knowing how some peoples minds work ( not mine of course ) that was innuendo at its very finest. Apologies, I know this is totally irrelevent to this thread, but LFN I love you're F n' F avatar, another character with dubious morals and a deadly sense of humour Oh I dont know about relevence. Im sure somebody ever so slightly famous has died looking like Mr F. I somehow imagine that the "Pretty boy" that was Michael Hutchence died with his basque on.

Guests, A Deathlist Enhancement, Or Detriment?

To ban guests from posting would be like banning every motorist from the road because some will cause an accident. Many posters here probably lurked, may even have posted as guests before signing up. Of late, so many "guests" have posted here in such a short space of time, the probability is that DL members are doing it. It goes with the turf im afraid. You have to let guests post in the hope that at least one joins and contributes on a regular basis. Blimey, this forum has as many mods as it has mere mortal members, keeping the shite out wouldnt be too difficult, would it? And no, Im not being critical of mods, some are lovely!!

    Elton John

[i like nice things] Right, I'm just off to see how much Elton John music I can download illegally so I can have the pleasure of excercising the right click on my mouse followed swiftly by the word delete, or maybe just dragging an entire Elton album towards the trash bin. It's just a shame my actions can't permenantly erase such classics as Candle in the Sodding Wind and that Disney theme forever. [/i like nice things] Edit - just remembered this bit of tumbleweed... What is the similarity between Elton John and Richard Hammond? They both have skid marks on their helmet. (a hamster free joke) Ive obviously been living in a cave because I havent heard that joke. It was pretty damn good!

Did he die wanking too? I thought both Hutchence and Milligan died from asphxiation while carrying out a five knuckle shuffle test.

    Greatest Deaths Ever

No, they all died in a helicopter crash while making The Twilight Zone - two of them decapitated, the other crushed. Kennedy got shot. What's so great about that? **edit: OK. I misunderstood the thrust here. I still don't see why a mediocre president getting the back of his head blown off should be a #1 death, but hey - I'm only an American. Anyway, God kept coming back and dying over and over again. Just ask Time magazine. Maybe JFK was seen more favourably overseas than at home, bit like Tony "Twat Head" Blair was. PS: Was it the back of his head? I thought he was shot from the Grassy knoll.

    The Dead - 2007

[in honour of absent friends] 30 July 2007 was a day when celebrity death reached a pinnacle. Or summit. Summer 07 is turning out like summer 97 in terms of celebrity deaths. I wonder which of the Royal family will cark it at the end of August. I could almost see you licking your lips in anticipation as you typed that! The quiet, thoughtful and fragrant 'H' has a very wicked streak.... dont you! I like it

    Greatest Deaths Ever

Well, clearly, we are moving away from the "Greatest Deaths Ever" which isnt suprising as much of it will be down to personal opinion as to level of fame and how great the Death was etc, etc. For example, who would have guessed that Rock Hudson pushed brown barges and his utter promiscuity led to his premature death. Could Jimi Hendrix have done with a girl friend who knew how to use a phone to ring 999 instead of, allegedly, waiting beyond his point of no return? The death of Jesus is wholly dependent on whether you believe that he actually existed, not the greatest death for me because there is no absolute proof he lived. JFKs death was before I was born and, as such, its impact shouldnt be as great to me as for those that remember it. Ive seen so many documentaries about him, read so many articles, know all about the conspiracy theories and understand acutely how the world was back in 63 that I actually do understand just how much of an impact his death made. Lets face it, few people like Dubya, his premature passing would cause shock to a few and relief to many. JFKs death led to genuine grief around the world. He was seen, at the time, to be Greatness personified. Despite what we know now, there is no question that he was a Political giant, a world leader that has never been equalled since. Still the Top trump.

Well with your track record of late we can all start putting the Banners and Balloons out. Eli will be no more in a matter of weeks.

agreed with JFK, but if, for example, on September 11 the terrorists took control of Air Force One, with President GW Bush on board, and flew that into the World Trade Center, the world would be a safer place today that would arguably be a greater death. I agree it would, but that death would be greater because of its relevence today, for this generation. JFKs death was on the back of a cold war and a game of Russian roulette with a Nuclear weapons and the world really was on the Brink of a Nuclear war. But, yes I agree with your scenario Cowboy.

    Ingmar Bergman

Another fantastic hit! What a supurb July it has been. I was wondering what the Deathlist record was for the number of hits in a month? Somebody here clearly practises Voodoo ( we already have a member that talks Mumbo Jumbo) which is why we are on a roll. PS: I would implore you to get your Brother Poo to join the forum.

    Greatest Deaths Ever

This one I do remember. His collapse was slow, so slow. I actually thought that he was disappearing down a trap door as part of the act. The terrible thing about it was you could clearly hear the " Death Rattle" while the audience laughed merrily away.

Yes, I was sitting at home with a cuppa and a Hobnob when I heard. I couldnt help thinking " If only he hadnt gone onto the roof with one hand still stuck up Emus arse..."

I suppose there are quite a few of the very famous who have died prematurely. Otis Redding and Jim Reeves ( very famous in their day) didnt find Air travel very agreeable. One possible unexpected very famous death, with a twist, would have to be Glenn Miller who, despite folklore telling us that he is laying at the bottom of the English channel in a Light Aircraft actually met his maker in a Paris brothel. Carol, apparently Vic Morrow died a hero, saving two children from certain death. Correct? JFK, for me, is THE greatest ever death. I dont reckon that its trumpable.

    Ingmar Bergman

In view of Harrys inspired double bluff of telling everbody that Mr Bergman would see out 2007, perhaps he would like to take a cursory look at a few more possibles so that he can confidently predict that they will not expire this year either. Go on Harry M'lad you are on a roll! PS: Make sure you do a few lines on the Lottery this weekend too.

    Seen Any Good Films Lately?

Havent seen a good film for a while now. I did, however, stumble upon a short, beautifully acted piece which, despite its length, conveyed more passsion, feeling and, at times, menace than most Films of greater budget and length. Enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z93Kvl3YMWQ
