Ideas And Possibilities For 2009
Death Impends replied to Anubis the Jackal's topic in DeathList Forum
Welcome, AWPerative! Westboro Baptist Church. Louis Theroux interviewed these people, Remember, God Hates Fag Enablers! I bet the RHPS isn't on their list of favourites at the local Blockbuster. He would be someone I could really enjoy getting a hit for. Death by bunga-bunga would be appropriate. I'd also happily see Phelps die. Most deaths have at least some sadness to them, but I can't say that for Phelps. -
Bert's a 7-time nominee; we ain't gonna lose him now. Heck, all three centenarians on this year's list have been on Deathlist for at least 5 years. I have nothing wrong with centenarian picks, as long as there aren't too many.

Nancy Reagan hospitalized after a fall

I noticed an error there, it says both "turned 90 this year" and "turns 91 this year", when only the latter should be there.

Congratulations to Dave to the Grave's normal team and End of the world as we know it's theme team for picking Henri Salvador, who has received a suitable obit.

Happy 93rd to Norman Wisdom.

He was also picked on The Canadian Paul Deadpool on The Professional's theme team "Political Antiques".

There's at least one more Presidential parent who died older than the age Roberta McCain is now, who is Susanna Boylston Adams, the mother of John Adams who died at 98. -
Also take note of the comments on the video, which is 90% Heath Ledger-related.

Kudos to Deathlist?! You mean, well done to DL for picking an 87 year old Bastard whos actually been dead for the last year or so anyway? Kudos? No Bone Idle? Yes If DL picks people who are old, sick and die, people complain that easy targets are being picked. If DL picks people who are youthful, healthy and don't die, people complain that the DL sucks because it's not getting hits. If people are going to whine no matter what happens, might as well be successful in one's chosen endeavour. Or, as Rick Nelson put it, "You can't please everyone, so you've got to please yourself" I'm content with hits as long as they have a decent amount of fame, regardless of age. Suharto easily passes that test.

Voted for Albert Hofmann, no real reason.
-
Kudos to both Suharto, for finally carking it, and Deathlist, for seeing its second hit of the year! If the first month is any implication, Deathlist is off to a good year.

Five, actually: Zsa Zsa Gabor, Vera Lynn, Betty Ford, Elizabeth Edwards, and Liz Taylor.

A few weeks? Laraine Day died November 10th, which would be approximately two and a half months ago. At least nine or ten weeks could fit in that time frame, which is out of the range of a "few" weeks.

He was a World War I veteran. Hence, there's a thread just for people like him.

Yet Winehouse and Doherty live on.... Along with Britney.

According to Wikipedia, he died just a day after his 84th birthday, missing out on a DDP party pooper bonus... But even if he DID die on his birthday, it'd still be a miss as nobody picked him on DDP. So long as you don't count the two that did. Oops, I was being dumb and got the alphabetical order mixed up. Ah well, mistakes happen.

True, but it pretty much declined to a two month break after that and now it's rising up again.

Is it just me, or has the deaths of WWI veterans sped up recently? Here's an overview of the last six months. August: none September: none October: Tuveri November: Bertolami December: Coffey, Serioli January: Kästner, Wycech, de Cazenave so far

I'm curious, who were the hits, especially in those three 10 hit years?
-
Well, this German report on Hofmann's 102nd also notes the death of Anita, and this seems to be a more trustworthy source.

Suharto's family will let the doctors decide on whether Suharto will stay on the life support system or not

Wow Paul, that's reeeally messed up of you. To post an article about Suharto's erect... [clicks link and reads article] ...building!? Oh.
