Kill or Save: UK No.3 Hits of the 80s
Toast replied to wannamaker's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I love it too. A guilty pleasure. -
WH Smith has saved a lot of branches by doubling up as Post Offices. The Works - I'd dispute it being "mostly children's toys and tat". They do a lot of stationery and craft items , art supplies, and sell a lot of books and jigsaw puzzles aimed at the adult market (no, I don't mean porn)

Ohhh no, I loved Dr Ruth. Such a sparky little lady.

That was nothing to do with any update. I asked for a Love! emoji to be added to the reactions a few days ago and DI kindly obliged.

Twitter isn't "complete trash". It depends what you like and who you follow. I get lots of art and architecture, brilliant photography (some vintage), excellent animal videos (wild and domestic). For politics you can follow Larry the 10 Downing St cat, and now also Jennie, Steve Darling's guide dog. Comedy clips. Susie Dent. Lots of specialist posters eg @ThanatosArchive which offers plenty of death-related gruesomeness. -

She's getting a right old kicking in the comments. -
TBH I come here for the deadpool games and the banter. I'm not really that interested in the Deathlist since we are mere observers. This might be cause for concern though. https://dorve.com/blog/ux-news-articles-archive/invision-shutting-down/ No, ignore me , I think that's something else, not the forum platform.

Compared with guns and knives, crossbows are not a very convenient weapon. Unwieldy, too big to hide in a pocket, can't be used repeatedly as they have to be reloaded after each shot.

Thanks, DI. I see from the Invision page that it's being withdrawn this year, so the forum will need to find another platform.

' A spokesman for Mr Adam said: "Shockat was elected by a diverse coalition of voters in Leicester South. He is focussed on delivering for his constituents, and will not be distracted by sour grapes from a beaten rival whose divisive politics were resoundingly rejected at the ballot box." ' -

Anyone can join in! And discussing the music isn't much of a derailment. -

I assumed it was because the England football team are still in the tournament. Don't you think there would have been Scottish and/or Welsh flags out if they had still been playing? Of course there would. -

I quite like the Spandau Ballet one. Their early stuff was much better than the soppy True, all downhill from there. -
Nova Scotia? Bloody hell.

I know it's five years now, but I saw her at a festival pre-pandemic, and I was in the second row, almost within touching distance. She came right down off the stage to high-five people. And she looked awesome. Not a scrap of cellulite, either. Can't really see much of her in that pic. She's doing a gig at Crystal Palace Bowl on 26 July, and a few other festival dates. I was hoping she'd turn up among the supports at Hyde Park, in which case I might have bought a ticket, but she didn't.

DPD. Currently waiting for them to collect some parcels - for the THIRD time. Both previous times the tracker has gone straight from "Driver is 4 stops away" to "When our driver called he was informed that the parcel was not ready". Both times I was at home and waiting, and the second time I was outside. Not had much joy speaking to them. Snappy woman was insistent that the driver's GPS showed he came here. Me: He didn't come here. I would have seen the van. I put a note out to come round the back and - Her: Our drivers are instructed only to come to the front door. Me: I don't have a front door. Her: .......... Me: There is a front door but it's a different house. That's why I put a note on the door, to avoid confusion. If he had come here he would have seen it. My neighbour was in all day and confirms that nobody called. Either the fucker has been going to the wrong place - although the address and postcode they have is correct - or he's just skipped it to save time. Same driver both times. Hopefully it's a different driver today. Yes! ..... And he's been! What a relief after having two days wasted hanging around. Not to mention waiting to be paid for the goods which should have been there ten days ago.

Yes indeed. Facepalm is often directed at the content of a post, but can be taken as being aimed at the poster when in fact you are agreeing with them that something is stupid. -

I've said before, a "like" reaction isn't enough for some posts. Can we have a "love", please? @Death Impends @Paul Bearer (This was for the Rayner/Jenkyns post)
