No, it was worse than that. Animals go in the cargo hold, people go in the cabin. Nearly a whole planeload of seats on a privately chartered plane were offered to the MoD to evacuate anyone in need, but the offer was ignored. So the plane eventually left with the animals in the hold and a couple of hundred empty seats.

Hope that's not just water. Oh, milkshake - yes, that'll do. Sour milk lingers.

Will definitely rank with the Portillo Moment.

That makes me want to vote for them! I could have in my old constituency, they are the tactical vote there.

Fair points, Clorox, and thank you for your kind words. Also for drawing my attention to July being National Ice Cream Month. Now that is something to celebrate. -
He came up with a zinger on another Twitter post. I'll see if I can find it. No, life's too short.

Aha, so it's for straight people as well? That's good to know. I've just done mine too. However I have a different approach. I designate various tracts as No Mow Spring and Summer, and mow wide paths around and among them, creating little islands of wildness. As long as the paths are kept mown short, it doesn't look untidy, just interesting. And it takes a lot less time than mowing the lot. At the beginning of autumn it all gets strimmed down, except one little patch for the critters. -
Noam Chomsky in as new no 3 sub for Rob Burrow, please.

Dyke and Van are man-made, but I suppose we can let him have Dick.

Do I qualify as a bigot if I respectfully ask why this gets a whole month while every other section of the community that merits recognition only gets a day? Mothers, fathers, veterans, teachers, Robert Burns, etc. Apparent;y today is National Cancer Survivor’s Day. -
Very happy to see the return of this enjoyable pool. Thank you, YW!
