It was my understanding that the twelve days of Christmas are those that follow Christmas Day ending in Twelfth Night on January 6th. Hey nonny nonny That is correct. The days before Christmas Day are called Advent. Now there's an idea. A Deathlist Advent Calendar!

Does rascist rhyme with Fascist?

OK, I'll repeat that info here, although I think this is worth a separate pinned thread for ease of reference. There's also the Rotten Dead Pool, in which you pick ten people from those listed on their website. It's US based, which can make it frustrating for us Europeans as it often omits prominent European personalities. They claim to be open to suggestions, but I've never had any luck with that. You can start your dead pool game any time as a new game starts every month, and it runs for a year. You can also make changes to your team any time during the first month of play.

Working fine on both Chrome and I.E. And Firefox.

No, but the game does start afresh on January 1st, so thoughts do move towards the 2016 team. DDP - 20 names (plus 3 subs in case any die before 1st January), no changes throughout the year, picks need to have a mention as having died on one of about 20 obit sources. From loose memory, the American stars who don't get obits here tend to struggle to get them in the US too, but that's not a fast rule. Deathrace - 20 names, if a pick dies on January 1st its 365 points, January 2nd 364 etc etc. First team to 2016 next year wins. MPFC runs it, and likes a swift fast winner, so will accept nearly any obit known to man, even a mention in passing in the horoscope section of an US newspaper. As reigning champion (somehow), I picked up points from the translation of a French parish newsletter. No changes as the game is expected to end ASAP. Hares Pool - Deathray's game (in which you pick 25 celebs), much like the Deathrace but reverse. So you want to pick lingerers who might snuff it in December 2016. Death by Years - Shauns game, you play this. Hartlepool Deadlypool - Haven't a bloody clue. I just pick ten famous names each year and hope for the best! Inverse Deadpool - Formerly run by Spade, it starts in mid-January when the Deathlist 50 and the Drop 40 (most popular picks on 2016's Derby Dead Pool) are known. You pick the 25 people on each you think will definitely not die, and were stupid picks. Then if they die, you lose points. The person with 0, or the closes to a positive score, wins. That's the main ones (the DDP and the forum games) I play anyhow. You should repost this in HowTo this is gold! Much thanks! SC Actually it's worth a pinned thread of its own, IMO. Details of new games can be added as and when, and we would have them all together as a useful reference point.

Oh! I was just going to say that I was quite close to The Edge myself on Monday night. At the O2. Not this close, mind Did he fall off the stage again? I'd like to say , but no,The Edge didn't get that close to the edge this time.

He'll need to take it easy, if he's not already gone ....

People can be buried in a casket. This whole site is based around people's notoriety - the names meant to point out that once your dead the whole premise of fame becomes redundant - it spelling out cunt is suppossed to drive home the point and infer if someone else takes the piss out of you it doesn't matter. I know that coffins are called caskets by some people. But 'understand' is not the right word. The word you are looking for is 'recognise'. Coffins Recognise No Titles. I don't see the relevance of 'cunt' in this context. But I'm sure we can all come up with alternatives for your amusement. Cows' Udders Never Tingle Cricket Umpire's Nervous Tic

Whom Are You Tarring With The Epithet "twunt"?

Caskets Understand No Titles What does that mean? I can see you find it amusing that it spells out CUNT, but it would be more amusing if it made sense.

We had our village firework display tonight. Everyone turns out for this. We always have it before Nov 5, because you have to get professional people to set them off nowadays, and it's too expensive to get them on the normal days. It was quite fun that it coincided with Halloween this year though. There was one firework like a row of shrieking ghouls, it was brilliant. Except .... we are no longer allowed to bring sparklers because of H&S. FOR FUCKS SAKE - Sparklers Too Dangerous At Bonfire Parties. I despair.

Who Should Be On The 2016 Deathlist?
Toast replied to Davey Jones' Locker's topic in DeathList Forum
It has never crossed my mind that the 'Ideas & Possibilities' thread was specifically for the Deathlist. I thought it was for the benefit of all deadpoolers. -
Judith Durham has a sublime voice, whereas Joni's shrill trilling is like fingers scraping down a blackboard to my ears.

Judith Durham will get a UK obit, no question about that at all. -
I couldn't agree more. In fact I think I've had a recent rant about that myself somewhere on these pages. It's another of those emotional Americanisms. See below. I confess I don't mind 'lose' and 'loss' so much, because 'to lose' can mean to be deprived of something. The one I don't like is 'passed'. Especially when it's used alone, without the traditional 'away' or 'on'. Sorry if it's been mentioned before but the one that gets me is the proliferation of "proms" instead of school dances, or indeed in my day school disco. (Maybe we should take this to the language thread again ha ha!). I can understand the derivation, but I personally dislike the terminology. I always thought a prom was short for promenade, like a stroll along the seafront. Mind you, we never even had school discos in my day. Not that I would have gone if we did, cos it was a girls' school

You're just a stupid troll. Maureen has never been an official cast member, but Olivia de Havilland & Mickey Kuhn (among the supporting cast) are still alive. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0031381/fullcredits?ref_=tt_ov_st_sm Think it was a joke - y'know, O'Hara?

I was sure I'd got her in one of my teams - and damn, it was this one! Oh well, she only cost me one point.
