The eve of the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic seems a good time to consider the status of the cast of the 1958 film "A Night To Remember". Still thought by many to be the best Titanic film, it is packed with famous names and familiar faces, many uncredited. (I still haven't managed to spot Sean Connery, mind you.) Below, courtesy of IMDB, is the complete cast list (or so it says). I've attached year of death where applicable, and year of birth where no death is indicated. The latter are highlighted in red. Names in green are those for whom no dates are supplied by IMDB. Please note all the data is taken from IMDB and I have not cross-checked any of it, so there may be some errors. I have not included film crew, but note that all the principals (director, writers, producer) have departed.
