Telegraph obit for Betty Willingale.
-
Local obituary.

In the pic the item he's actually looking at in delight is a Tunnock's tea cake. A generous serving of tea cakes for Big Eck is probably the equivalent of a good shag for the rest of us tbf. Ironically, Tunnock's would later become a vocal opponent of Scottish separation in 2014. The cybernats of Twitter announced a boycott of all their products (they have a very long "blacklist" though so far from a special accolade). The end result... a lot of media coverage that saw Tunnock's sales soar through the roof. Not a tea cack fan me but their caramel wafers are pure heaven.

Well the only reason I set him as my bloody display pic on here was because I had fully expected him to have done "a John Smith" by now. I kept telling myself I'd change it as soon as he shuffled off. 12 years later... still stuck with his mug.

Anyone watch Alex Salmond giving evidence earlier? He's looking worse than ever. 67 in December. 75 is looking very unlikely for him.

Tweet announcing the death of Leroy J. Manor (wiki), U.S. Air Force lieutenant general known for commanding Operation Ivory Coast, a raid on a prisoner of war camp during the Vietnam War. Turned 100 on 21st Feb and died on 25th Feb.

So we're in a "hospice panto" now? "Ooooooh no he isn't!" "Ooooooh yes he is!"

Telegraph obit. A very interesting lady.

Hmm interesting list. I'll take a look when I get some time!

Just had a look at his IMDb. He's American, and whilst I don't think you have to be British-born to be considered a "British television actor", appearing in only one or two series of British TV shows is a bit of a stretch for inclusion. Trying not to pull up an exhaustive list as it defeats the purpose.

Mary Holt a hit for me here.

Updated for the death of Jeremy Burnham:

Apologies if mentioned elsewhere but can't see it in this thread. Another new name is Friedrich Karl Berger, 95. BBC article from a few days ago. @Prophet, if you're still around, can you please add these two names to the masterlist?
-
One of them being my Dead by Dawn team. That's her for sure, thanks! Torygraph obit next week I reckon.

Orlando Drummond (wiki) makes a public appearance as he's vaccinated for COVID-19. Looks pretty good for 101.

Maybe she'll develop a love of opioids like her two chums did?

Sharubutu in the news again. Ghana has been considering the legalisation of homosexual relations between consenting adults. Unsurprisingly he's been pressuring the Ghanaian Government to uphold the criminal code which forbids it. Seems to be pretty active still for someone who is (allegedly) 102 in 2 months. Conducting sermons with his surgical face mask on. My sister has COVID at the moment. I'll go ask if she fancies a wee trip to Ghana for "essential travel purposes".

Patricia Marmont (wiki), American-born British Hollywood actress, won't be celebrating her 100th in August as she died on 3rd December 2020 aged 99 according to this Ancestry family tree. It says she died at Denville Hall, likely credible as it matches info in this Facebook post from February 2019 where someone says they went to visit her there. Biggest role was as Andromache in the 1956 Warner Bros. epic Helen of Troy. Last film role was in a 2004 British film. Married for a period to character actor Nigel Green (1924–1972, wiki)

Alan Robert Murray (wiki) has died aged 66. No cause given. Holds the record for the most Oscar nominations for a sound editor... NINE! They are: *Ladyhawke (1986) *Lethal Weapon 2 (1990) *Eraser (1997) *Space Cowboys (2001) *Letters From Iwo Jima (2007) also winner *Flags of Our Fathers (2007) *American Sniper (2015) also winner *Sicario (2016) *Sully (2017) *Joker (2020)

I spoke with one of his neighbours recently. He’s actually doing a lot better healthwise, having recovered from whatever it was he was suffering from this time last year. From the way everyone was describing it I thought he was a goner. Now I think he could have a few more years left on the clock.
