Telegraph obit for Major Tony Crease, 74, who led the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards during their period of chart success.

Gawd, that’s a throwback and a half and a bit of a shock. I was familiar with him over a decade ago during the MySpace music era. Acts like him and Colton Ford had a huge following in the gay community and were expected to break the mainstream, like Mika, Lady GaGa or Sam Sparrow, but ultimately never did.

I’ll give it 24 hours before you’re banned.

Several people on Facebook reporting the death of Sir William Macpherson of Cluny (wiki), aged 94. Most notably led the Stephen Lawrence inquiry and defined “institutional racism” for the first time. A High Court judge, he was also the 27th Hereditary Chief of Clan Macpherson.

Eileen Ash has received both of her COVID shots now. 110 in November. Some great clips of her on YouTube. Very likeable lady, hope she’s around for a while yet.

*6/40 And more importantly... my first DDP hit this year. Finally!

I’m Scottish. Didn’t even know such a hall existed. Doesn’t look like it’s still actively inducting weirdly.

By that I think SC means he knows how to copy and paste large chunks from articles, and he wants credit for this. A big boy sticker for you.

Disney illustrator Charles Boyer died on February 8th. No age given but he was awarded Disney Legend status by the company.

Forgot he had a hit in the lower reaches of the chart in the 70s. Updated. If someone can clear up the DOB please ping me. My UK Hit Singles book says 4th Feb, and the Scottish Sun says "February 1940". Whereas, the U.S. Library of Congress says January 11th. His fans on Facebook also wished him a happy 80th birthday on January 11th last year...

I wouldn't go that far.

You're probably right. It was on the Voy noticeboard, and there were several people discussing it, which made it seem legit. Then by the time I clicked on it, it was a 404 message coming up. URL structuring is tricky though. Often links can have multiple urls which take them to the same place, and there can be different structures used for drafts etc. Anyways, not dead... yet.

Whelan "Polly" Ward (wiki) has died aged 91. -
Me and my mate were going to go see him for a laugh after lockdown. Guess that ain't gonna happen then...

Very weird to think that Tom Moore became a personality himself and was too knighted AFTER Wogan died. Stranger still is the fact that Moore is the more widely known personality worldwide now...

The 27th Lord Mowbray (wiki), owner of the Allerton Park Horse Trials, dead at 67 after a fall at home. Succeeded his father to the title in 2006. Never sat in the House of Lords.

The birth year threw me also. Wiki (I presume erroneously) has him as being a few years older.

Family not saying much. “Medical emergency” and “natural causes” are phrases used but that could cover just about anything in reality. Sounds like an underlying condition though.

Was dead then undead on TMZ. They took it down. Malicious report sent their way or is it a sign that he’s at the end and they called it prematurely?

Actress Ashley Judd in ICU after shattering leg in Congo excursion. Serious nerve damage, not out of the woods yet.

Confused. Why isn’t Cruz featured in the team box for the 82 squad? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celso_Güity

Must be a cursed name.

Yes, he set that record last year. He’s also the last living of the 143 Cardinals created by Pope Paul VI.
