A friend informs me that they're due to announce news of a Brexit deal at around 10PM. Does this mean that you're leaving the Forum tonight forever?

Death notice for Narindar Saroop (wiki), aged 91, Conservative councillor and the first Asian Tory Parliamentary* candidate (Greenwich constituency during the 1979 General election). * of modern times... technically the predecessor of the Conservative Party, which was actually called the "Tory Party", had Sir Mancherjee Bhownaggree (wiki) as an MP from 1895 to 1906.

Updated for the death of Pete King. Missed this one at the time.

Whatever. None of them have anything on André Maranne. -

Micheline Presle, Michel Bouquet, Brigitte Bardot are in the same league as Delon. I think there’s a good chance all of them will be gone soon. -

Something to do, innit? Literally never heard of him before is all, and I’m no stranger to French and Belgian cinema. I think describing it as a “huge” one is hyperbole. No offence intended. I’m only trying to agitate you ever so slightly. -

In France. FTFY. -
TCM have very kindly updated their annual tribute. They've added Barbara Windsor, Jeremy Bulloch and production designer Peter Lamont, and they haven't scrubbed anyone out. Got to give them their credit, they're bloody dedicated. I wish there was a body who did this annually for musicians. Sadly MTV has long lost its way. Focus is on reality programmes like "16 and Pregnant" and "Date My Mom" rather than actual music nowadays.

Emil Cadkin (wiki), TV and film composer, with credits including SpongeBob SquarePants, the Donna Reed Show, and Tarzan, dead at 100. Can’t seem to locate a pic of him.

Armin Hofmann (wiki), Swiss graphic designer, dead at 100.

Here’s Tebbit’s last speech in the Lords from February. Didn’t look too bad. Most older members have been voting/contributing virtually since the pandemic hence there are no recent speeches. He was actively voting as recently as 15th December. I wouldn’t consider him a dead cert for snuffing it in 2021 by any means.

Was having a chit chat with Nadine Dorries recently. Captain Tom Moore is a member of her local Tory association. Someone alert the leftie luvvies at the BBC. They'll instantly rescind the award then we won't have to hear about him every two bloody minutes.

Crossposting. Dame Fanny Waterman (wiki), British classical pianist and educator, dead at 100.

No. Died today.

Thanks, updated. Got to be honest, when I compiled this I had never heard of them! Their Wiki page suggests they were pretty big in the States, but they never amounted to much in the UK strangely. A quite glimpse at the their Facebook page suggests he was admitted to hospital recently after suffering a fall. Whilst there he developed pneumonia (non-COVID related) and this is what he succumbed to.

Haneh Hadad (wiki), Israeli police officer and Labor politician, died back in October aged 101, but it's only just been added to his Knesset profile. Believe I'm right in saying he was the oldest living former member of the Knesset.

Gutted. Actually watched About a Boy the other day, which I was surprised to see her in. Brilliant in Gimme Gimme Gimme, and the first regular cast member from that series to die.

The Government plans to have everyone vaccinated by the end of Easter I believe. Understand your frustration on missed vaccinations. Heard a GP talking bout this on LBC the other day. He said it happens all the time with vaccinations but in most cases people just genuinely forget, get held up in traffic/delayed in some other way, fall ill, emergency comes up. It’s to be expected. Little you can do bout that sadly. The NHS will eventually fob you off if you do it repeatedly.

Must’ve been another pianist. Bowles was alive about 10 years ago. That Times obit says fuck all sadly.

For completeness, crossposting. Legacy obit for Don Marion. 3, possibly 4, left.

Updated for the December 2018 death of sousaphone player Martin Fry as per this Facebook page. Checks out on the GRO and Ancestry, albeit with a slightly different date (one day before). Year of birth for Bevan added as per this. Months of birth for Watson and Howard added as per this. All three are still alive. Of the two remaining blanks... Bowles: If you Google Canon "Colin Bowles" died, there's a celebrity.co.uk page on After Dinner Speakers which seems to mention his passing. My Mac won't let me load the page, even though I have the latest Flash installed. Can anyone access/screenshot that page? Harrison: Living in 2003 according to this Guardian article. He's the most elusive, but someone must know what happened to him?

Typical, the one place I didn't look. Merci! Updated.
