He was on Radio 2 a few weeks ago. Sounded great!

We have a thread for the Kennedys. Her death has been reported, and commented on in there several times already.

Updated entry for Vera Lynn. Only scored one UK Singles Chart topper, but had the chart started a decade earlier she’d probably have had over a dozen!
-
We do know, because one of our long-time respected users and top class researchers cracked it and found it originated from at least over a decade ago. The houses are clearly not Parisian in the photo either. What more evidence do you need to get it through your head that it’s an old photo that someone rehashed and now it’s gone viral?

Muricans are generally uninformed about international affairs. There’s an endless stream of drama within their own country to keep them amused.

Bar-Kays entry updated to reflect the death of Thompson. If anyone finds a DOB or age, please ping it my way!

I had a look earlier, but didn't dig too deep. Used their names from the Hebrew Wiki to try and get somewhere. It seems only Reuven Erez had a career away from the group. He seems to have a profile in Israel to this day. As is often the case with these groups, the girls often get ditched once they've served their purpose!

Centenarian violinist and composer Elisabeth Waldo is supposed to turn 102 tomorrow, she's also the elder sister of voice actress Janet Waldo (1919–2016) But I think she may have died off radar. Someone updated her Geni page last month to add a 2020 year of death. Her website hasn't been updated in some time, no recent photos. Dead? Edit: This Ancestry tree also lists a place of death: Northridge, Los Angeles, California but gives no date, not even a year. The plot thickens...

A glitch in the matrix. Best just to ignore it otherwise agents will be on their way to you!
-
Cheers, added them all. It definitely says 29.8.1953. Which browser are you using? On Safari if I put my mouse over the picture without clicking it and wait 3 seconds it magnifies it. That makes sense – I was reading a newspaper article on them earlier where they were complaining of being duped out of royalties, hardly making a penny off records that sold in the millions! I've added a note about Circus playing the instruments. I'm not going to try and find out who exactly though! ... and I think for the sake of my sanity I'm going to ignore the bit about Tomlinson playing in a 60s band! I'll assume the author of that site has made a mistake or she was indeed 11 at the time of contributing vocals (I guess not totally impossible – the lead singer of the Cockney Rejects, above, was just 13 when they first hit the charts!). I guess when she dies, we'll find out. South African records are basically non-existant on genealogy sites so no way to pull up records, especially if she kept changing her bloody name! Anyways, cheers for all of this. The section looks a lot more complete now. Another 20 names in the last C section (I probably won't get time til Sunday) then onto D. Getting through them relatively quicker than I thought!

Okay, done. Don't suppose you know the names of the other two who appeared at Eurovision?
-
Updated. Thanks!
-
I'll start with this one! Gold mine – added all their DOBs. Charlie Brennan... so Wiki says for their Eurovision performance in Paris they added him as a drummer. He's listed as a member on there, but not on Rate Your Music or Discogs. Now on the album and record covers. Some of them (presumably taken beforehand just feature five of them, but the accompanying album has six faces as do some versions of the single). The jury's out here. What do you think, a member or should I scrub him and add a note underneath?

Thanks, I've added this in the notes section. I may get in touch with Graham through that site and ask. Whilst I'm here, and before I update Chic, Sue Glover (Brotherhood of Man) got back to me. Confirmed her sister Sunny is living in retirement. Didn't respond to my request for DOBs though!
