I wouldn't write Kelly off 100%, the fact that the Morning Star is an acceptable QO source means she has a fighting chance of a mention.

Three years to the day that Bruno Metsu passed away aged 59, and a bunch of plucky upstarts known as David Quantick's Showbiz Pals began to realise they could win their first DDP. -

Perry Saturn's the latest wrassler with a GoFundMe to pay medical bills, although charging $500 for five DVDs of matches he doesn't own the legal rights to is pretty ballsy.

Might as well hope that a bear defecates in a superloo. This isn't going to be a pretty few years for Thailand.

Dead.

Nobel Laureate Bob Dylan.

Skateboarder Dylan Rieder dead at 28 according to Twitter. Was a divisive figure in the skate community due to his image, a kind of nu-hipster pretty boy look that saw him win modelling contracts where he starred alongside Cara Delevingne. Then he got leukaemia.

Could the title be snatched by Stanley Cohen (Nobel laureate biochemist) born 1922, or Al Cohen (American magician) born 1926? Eight days too late for Elaine Lustig Cohen though.

Seems like a good thread for Yom Kippur.

Ah yes, that famous politician the King of Thailand.

Ernie Roth, aka The Grand Wizard and Abdullah Farouk, wrote the book when it came to heel managers in professional wrestling and the 1980s expansion would have been very different without various people being "inspired" by his mannerisms. Sadly he never got to see that period as he dropped dead of a heart attack 33 years ago today aged 57. -
Is this a triple-bluff or a quadruple one?

Have it for effing dinner. Anyway, not-at-all exploitative Channel 4 show Benefits Street participant Lee Nutley dead.

Filipino character actor Dick Israel not a big enough name for you?

Unlikely to QO anywhere but quite an interesting character, being as La Sonora Poncena were formed in 1954 and Lucca was still technically a member at the time of his death (although I can't imagine he was up on stage shaking a tambourine much towards the end). Surely a contender for top 10 longest careers in one band.

There's a partial list of those who've succumbed to the curse at the top of this page. Rob "one half of Climie" Fisher and Ettore Sottsass are both names who died between the tracks that feature them being recorded and released. May well provide a full list of survivors in my lunch hour if I get time.

Kenneth P Thompson, Brooklyn's first African-American prosecutor, dead at 50. Had he made it to the start line, he would have been the most inevitable "picked by four teams in the DDP top 10 on the basis he was guaranteed a copy/paste Daily Mail obit" ever.

Manchester City cult hero Gerry Gow dead from lung cancer at 64. There were the generic "City legend battling cancer" stories earlier this year in local press and I had him inked in for 2017 based around the Curse of Half Man Half Biscuit (Gow is mentioned in "This One's For Now" off "Urge For Offal").
