But then that might give away the former RPDR contestant that should be on everyone's 2017 longlist.

My deadpooling skills have improved in the interim.

Been catching up with Ru Paul's Drag Race All Stars Season 2 over the weekend (Ginger Minj robbed yet again), and thought I'd make my debut as a listmania poster on the DL with a topic I'm surprised we've not tackled so far: the current status of the cast of Paris Is Burning (1990). Unsurprisingly, it isn't exactly a happy list of still healthy and robust queens. Dorian Corey: Died 1993, complications emerging from AIDS. After her death, the murdered corpse of her ex-partner, hidden for 15 years, was discovered in her house Pepper LaBeija: Died 2003, heart attack Venus Xtravaganza: Strangled to death in 1988, killer was never found Octavia St. Laurent: Died 2009, AIDS-related complications Willi Ninja: Died 2006, AIDS-related complications Angie Xtravaganza: Died 1993, AIDS-related complications Paris Duprée: Died 2011, unknown cause David Ian Xtravaganza: Died 1996, AIDS-related complications Junior Labeija: Still alive! Currently a social worker Avis Pendavis: Died 1995, AIDS-related complications Freddie Pendavis: Still alive! Apparently teaches IT to senior citizens Kim Pendavis: Died 1992, heart attack while still in her 20s Sol Pendavis: Still alive! Now a doctor

Mandoza would have QO'd, for what it's worth.

And another name I'm sure the canniest of DDPers had this name pencilled in as a "please hold on": Ben Ellis, the cancer-stricken teacher who went viral recently due to a video of his students serenading him at his window, has died. Unsurprisingly, the Daily Mail come through with the QO.

Another inspirational cancer blogger fails to make the starting line for 2017: @nn@ Sw@bey.

What is the deal with gender realignment? You have a penis, you want a vagina. You have a vagina, you want a penis. Why can't I have both?
-
Shaun Bloodworth, National Portrait Gallery-featured photographer most commonly associated with his pictures of the Sheffield music scene, dead. He'd been getting some attention recently due to various fund-raising events as he battled kidney failure in hospice, so bad luck for those of you who pencilled him in for next year.

Doctors 'often get it wrong' when predicting how long terminally ill people have left to live If only there were some people online who had a proven record in ascertaining this.

Surprised this one isn't getting reported more widely tbh, still no UK QO: Julio Gonzalez, who set fire to the Happy Land nightclub in 1990 killing 87 people, dead of a heart attack at 61. He set fire to the club on a whim after an argument with his girlfriend, who worked as a coat clerk there. She was one of six known survivors.

I was hoping that one would sneak under the radar for a unique pick. These days it's not enough to merely find good unique picks, you must anticipate and leak your competitors' unique picks. DDT playing chess while the rest of us are still playing ludo.

Lloyd Price, who had the first censored #1 in US chart history (a version of "Stagger Lee" that obfuscates the pimping and murder). I would have assumed he'd bit the dust some time in the 1970s amid a large pile of cocaine, but he's 83 and still with us. -
Best new gimmick on the DL 2016, easily.

The team was "The Pope", who in 2013 managed six non-scoring hits. But yeah, Oldies But Goodies beat them comprehensively.
