    The Beatles Death Curse

Did you chase those kids off your lawn early this evening? If you just imagine SC as Clint Eastwood in Grand Torino all his posts make more sense.

    Glen Campbell

The article states that most patients die around 7c-7d. If he just entered stage 7, that means he is expected to survive 3-4 more years, and possibly up to 8-10. (7a-7e takes an average of 6 years, and patients can survive a few more years in 7f) By the time he gets to 7c, he'll be sleeping

    Kudos.

Apparently the average survival time after entering stage 7 of Alzheimer's is 18 months.

    Boxing Clever?

Benn/Eubank III looks like it may actually happen. Can't see this being a disaster for either man's health...

    Ask A Deathlister

Based around an office conversation... any idea how many "pending" obituaries the BBC/AP keep on file at any one time? 500 was the number floated, does the learned panel reckon the figure is higher or lower than that?

    Derby Dead Pool 2016

While I'm replying, something which has been on my mind, TMIB. The 2009 section refers to "Matthew, tonight i'm going to be badly-torn boy" not coming back to defend his title in 2010. However, he did. He finished 6th. I'd assume this was your predecessor's work, but just thought I'd point it out. During one of the quiet patches of the year, presumably over the summer when people stop dying for a few weeks, we could have an pedants' amnesty for errors on the DDP site without seeming like ungrateful bastards. For instance, the basketball player's name is Dwyane Wade, not Dwayne.

    Michael Jackson

I'd wait for clarity first remember Aretha Franklin. Didn't Aretha just drop a plate of spare ribs while getting out of the bath? Miss Jackson if you're metastatic. Janet cancels yet another tour for undisclosed reasons.

    Seen Any Good Films Lately?

Disgusted that anyone would compare the mighty Kunt and the Gang to a shoddy poshboy knob-gag merchant like Sasha BC.

BBC Sheffield, Friday, 3pm: an interview with Kris Travis "all going well". Hopefully someone will do the honours and listen to it for us.

    Derby Dead Pool 2016

Would rather have a bit of showbiz about it, Saturday night ITV with Paddy McGuinness seems like the obvious hosting choice.

    From Cleric To Relic

The Guardian's increased leaning on Australian news reporting in recent months definitely brings a lot more Australian "news" figures (former cabinet ministers, religious leaders et al) into play for the DDP.

RIP to the most famous person in the world.

Granger's an interesting one. She's clearly motivated by her platform to speak about healthcare and cancer (and if she was just an office worker or a homemaker instead of a doctor I'm sure she'd have died ages ago), but she does seem to go through peaks of "big decisions to make, this could be it, this is my last Christmas/Eastern/Halloween" and planning holidays four/five/six months into the future. I make her chances of dying this year 75/25. Not really ready to call any of my picks "wasted" yet this year, although if picked the 20 again I'd probably put Bob Ellis (definitely has cancer, definitely overstated the severity of it) and Abdul Sattar Edhi (probably no more likely to die than any other 89 year old in a home this year) on the stand-in list rather than the starting line-up.

Ah that was it, I'd already processed Feek as dead in my head for some reason. Long work hours.

After Plowright and Crowe's departures, can anyone fagpacket who's the current DDP leader? Is it The Living End?
