TMIB has hinted before that there's at least one broadsheet obit writer who plays the DDP. The company I work for supplies content for Yahoo's news section, so I was wondering whether I'd have to declare myself if they'd stayed as a QO source for 2016. Rest assured we'd kept them I'd have been pestering every French writer in the office with "remember how your dad loved that Delpech lad? Yeah, write about that, I'll go to Starbucks for you don't worry, just write about that".

I dropped Ally Gourlay, press officer at Raith Rovers, out of fear that he'd fall victim to the ban on Scottish press/BBC regions. But now he's dead and The Sun have stepped up to the plate.

If this doesn't kill Olly Croft, nothing will

Is he shagging the mountain?

Still, you can get Snowden at 20/1 to win the gong and Edhi at 25/1 (which, to me, has to be worth a tickle). The Donald at 100/1. "Greek islanders" are 2/1 favourites but if you want my 100% honest tip, Mussie Zerai ticks every single box going (African, Christian, helps Halibuts, lives in Europe, previously unheralded) and is available at 6/1.

Should The Unemployed Be Banned From Deathlist?

What the fuck is this thread even about? Cliffs plz. -
In fairness, the phrase "nominated for the Nobel Prize" means the grand total of fuck all since nominations are never made public. However, on a deadpooling front this year's Nobel Peace Prize has some relevance to me with the campaign for Abdul Sattar Edhi to get the nod. Presumably that'll be the last thing he does before he departs this fine Earth.

Lolo Ferrari in 2000, Eddy Wally just 16 years later... time for a Curse of Eurotrash thread? (answer: no)

More of a colostomy tray really, Una.

I think Creepy is under the impression that Howard Marks is the British Pablo Escobar, rather than Albion's answer to Tommy Chong/Willie Nelson/Snoop Dogg as a generic student stoner icon.

Great thread -
Who's next then, Ian Rotten or Balls Mahoney?
-
ECW original, one half of the Chair Swingin' Freaks and general good guy to watch wrestle if you're 14-years-old, Axl Rotten is dead at 44.

Ah, but he stole his name from "Mr Electricity" Steve Regal, an American, which is why he switched to "Steven Regal" when he went over to America the first time round https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Regal
-
Ah but there was always a weird tradition of names being "borrowed" between US and UK territories. Not only did both sides of the Atlantic have a Black Jack Mulligan, but also a Steven Regal, Kendo Nagasaki and even Big Daddy's nephew wrestled under the name Greg Valentine.

Rammstein's highest-charting US album got to #19, Joey+Rory's #61.

Going back to December 24th and making sure that Sadhana's central heating is turned on properly and she's got some nice chicken soup for Xmas dinner?

Flag! German charts don't count as relevant to inclusion in this thread (I say this as a former bass player for a band that had a #1 album in Germany, proving my point). SirC Speaking as someone who sang backing vocals on a single that reached #9 in the UK charts, are you implying that we should question the music tastes of the population of Germany if your band's album got to #1? #9 in 2002, specifically 12th October 2002?

Jim Reeves (apparently that was his real name), was the lead singer of Sqeezer, a Europop band who had four top 40 singles in Germany back in the late 90s. Anyway, he was found, apparently murdered, in his hotel room on Monday. Let's take a few moments to appreciate Sqeezer's 1997 single, "Tamagotchi". About Tamagotchis.

I See you've Delpech crossed off but Brinson not. To date (and my impeccable knowledge) no one has posted an obit for Delpech that would pass the Sir Creep Test.SC The Independent, who I always assumed would be the place to give us the Delpech obit (mainly based on them doing one for Little Tony in 2013), are definitely going through their backlog at the moment, their last three obits all died in late 2015 (Donald Sinden's brother, some cocktail brer and an art collector). So I think we're within ten days of them doing one for Mr Wight Is Wight.
