Harris Wittels, executive producer for Parks and Recreation and the guy who ran the Humblebrag Twitter account, OD'ing at 30.
-
"Hercules" Harold Johnson, linear Light Heavyweight champion in the early 60s who had five separate big box office fights with Archie Moore, dead at 86.

It's worth noting that we could well see out the end of February with the #2 spot in the DDP being held by a theme team who have had just one hit, so to slap the DL around for a lack of hits isn't really fair.

Between John Snow and Afroman, it's been a bad week for stoners.
-
Despite being told he had 90 days to live last year, Walter Trout is back touring again. Could be a good DDP diferential pick in 2016.
-
I haven't seen the guy in about three years in fairness, would seem a bit weird to phone him up and go "yeah, sorry about not sending you a Christmas card... anyone, so about that big fuck-off tumour in your stomach, reckon you'll make 2016?"

It's Leslie Gore's wake and she'll die if she wants to.

Feel like enough time has passed for me to admit that I was very close to picking my uncle on this year's DDP (he'd get a local BBC radio mention no problem) but backed out at the last minute because that would probably have been too much even for me.

Did Gerald Sim die last December or was it an erogenous report? We've discussed this in the DDP thread, I'm 100% sure he's dead but this hasn't been picked up by the press for whatever reason. Possibly when Sheila Sim carks it the papers will find out he's also kaput.

Michele Ferrero, world's 20th richest man and the guy responsible for Nutella, Ferrero Rocher, Kinder Eggs and Tic Tacs, dead at 89.
-
Gary Owens, voice of Roger Ramjet, Space Ghost and, most importantly, Powdered Toast Man, dead at 80.

Thutch a thame. regards, Hein That post is so wrong, but so right...I salute you! Are you saying that you know it's not right, but it's OK?

Poker legend and clear crook Doyle Brunson, oft-discussed around these threads, has been diagnosed with melanoma for the third time in his life.

Yoga seems to be putting more wrestlers in hospital than oxycontin these days.

Dunno, although she's older you'd fancy both Joss Ackland and Tempest Storm (both born 29/2/28) to tap out before her.

The Netherlands is refusing to accept Big Bad Frank within its borders, which was part of the reasoning behind not letting him end it all in the first place. This one's gonna run and run in a pretty tedious manner I think.

Those of us who had come to the conclusion that we'd wasted a DDP pick on Frank van den Bleeken may take heed from this interview with his sister, that says he's still seeking euthanasia. I'd have thought we'd probably still need to go through at least two court battles before he can leave this mortal coil, but I'd still make him a 50/50 shot to go this year. Can our Belgian community on here tell us if this story is big over there or is it just something we've latched on to because it involves a potential stiff?

The Jacka, who Hip Hop Connection were always massive on back in the day, shot dead at 37. Jacka in the box
-
Monty Oum, animator for Red vs Blue, dead from an allergic reaction at 33.

Cancer has spread to liver and lungs. For Real. Will he see 2015? Will the Daily Mail note his passing? Was someone hoping he would be a unique pick on the DDP? Pictures of a man who is clearly a few weeks away from dying are on his brother Chance's instagram account right now. The Twitter acct for his rap act, Stallionaires, is also tweeting "#healreal" as well, so I think we can start penciling him out for 2016.

One for the never-ending list of celebrities the National Enquirer claims has nine months to live with no factual basis behind: Chevy Chase. Fletch dies.
