Connie Marero, who had been the oldest living former MLB player, dead at 102. Didn't turn pro until he was 38. And to think some people say that baseball isn't a sport.

As stated in the Harper thread though, it seems that a sub-editor got a little over-eager with her quotes (read: "made them up entirely") Would be stunned if she sees the autumn, let alone 2015.

A nice healthy bunch of lads there. Kamala's continued livingness is a minor miracle.

Bernardo Provenzano rushed to hospital. Probably more of a "medical emergency" than a medical emergency, but he's not getting any younger.

I mean I suppose how we all pick our Yewtree guesses is how the general public deadpools: a list of random names, vague slightly educated guesses and personal animosities. Going "Cliff is a paedo!" is like someone coming in here and going "how come you guys haven't picked Keith Richards this year?"

There was that Daily Mirror article from about six months ago (linked upthread) that suggested that Wales' finest, like the summer weather, had a tendency to deep into the low teens. However, some bro of mine at one of the national newspapers says that it's not a "showbiz" showbiz arrest, rather someone who worked backstage at the BBC.

73-year-old man detained by Operation Yewtree. People will be making lots of insinuations about the identity of this person, it's not unusual.

She should have moved into the country. -
Bit of a waste of that £10m they spent on the hospital room then, huh? Could have used it to go on a holiday instead. Kitzbühel is nice this time of year.

That rules out his death any time soon then. If Ariel Sharon could last nearly a decade in his 80s the young healthy Shoemaker will last several decades. Funny how he sort of took over from Sharon as the coma watch guy lol People like Michael with serious head injures have a dramatically reduced lifespan ,so i very much doubt we are looking at decades . http://www.lifeexpec...y.com/tbi.shtml males 40 and over in a permanent vegetative state live usually 9 years after accident , males 50 and over 7 years after accident . Since Michael was 45 he could have another 8 years maximum. But of course anything can happen he might live for decades or he might die next week of infection or just naturally . Either way schumacher will be a regular feature on the deathlist me thinks. I think they have told her he is virtually brain dead and there is nothing they can do and they need the bed for more patients with a better chance of survival ,so she decided to build her own mini hospital at home . Which points towards schumacher not being able to breath independently and needing technology to survive. Personally if I was in that state my DL posting style wouldn't alter noticably ftfy

Yosra El-Essawy has now outlived her "nine months" diagnosis, and is still undergoing chemo. I have no idea what any of this means.
