Cecil. Feel like we could see a few big deaths in a row to please the kind of watercooler dullards who say shit like "celebrities always die in threes".
-
Well he wasn't bullshitting, then.

Death Anniversary Thread
Spade_Cooley replied to themaninblack's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Billy Tipton, who managed a 34-year-long career as a jazz bandleader and a string of relationships without anyone realising he was actually a man, died today in 1989. His adopted son only discovered that his "father" was actually an adoptive mother when paramedics stripped Tipton's clothes while trying to save his life. -

Please, for the love of fucking Christ, stop it. We all know where Wikipedia's "Deaths In 2013" page is. Then why isn't Chikokola on that list? Isn't that an Abba song? It's Chiquitita, I think, but both names have similarities. Is anyone thinking what I'm thinking? If its what I think you're thinking, then I'm inclined to say its not - the English is too good. He could have taken a night course since he was last around?

Interview with Araucaria here. Doesn't sound like he'll be sticking around for 2014.

I think I may know some people who know him - will make some enquiries

Yeah, but I can't imagine his hospitalisation will be accompanied by rolling 24-hour news coverage and a Guardian liveblog.

Sandy Jardine update: Strikes me as a bit Robin Gibb tbh, but we'll see.

Brady probably not. Hindley's a definite though, we've got that winning mixture of repugnant morbidity and provincial tweeness that seemed to occupy her brain most of the time.

"Married? Really? To a woman? Get out of it..." hairdresser to the stars/Matalan shoppers Nicky Clarke is hospitalised with pneumonia.

I could have sworn we had a thread for the TCB Band, but apparently not.

Has Ralph H Baer really never been picked before this year? That surprises me.

He's no saint, but has been a good sport about his status on here Yeah, I've written a letter to Ian Brady. Hopefully we can get a photo of him wearing a DeathList sweatband and holding up the DeathList mug I've sent him. Fuck it, I'm gonna ask Sandy Jardine and Lisa Lynch. I think considering Lynch's current situation that might be a bit Weekend at Bernie's. But Sandy will surely cooperate for a great friend who broke the news of his tragic illness and who's such a fan of that brilliant Teddy Bear thread. Jelly and ice cream when Sandy Jardine posts to the DeathList Jelly and ice cream when Sandy Jardine posts to the DeathList Jelly and ice cream when Sandy Jardine posts to the DeathList etc etc etc

Little more depressing than realising you have the last post in all three forums. On a Saturday night. -

Graham didn't compile that crossword. His consultant just thought it would be a hilarious way to break the news... That legendary cryptic compiler #banter.
