    Life In Prison

Shivers has gone down for 25, although it'd be a miracle if he sees out more than two of those. I'm pretty sure a fair few DDPers have got him pencilled in for 2013 already.

    Sid Waddell

Waddell returns to the commentary box tonight for the first time since his diagnosis, helming coverage of the Premier League Darts. His comeback match will be Andy Hamilton versus James Wade.

I think it's about time we had some dead prods on the board, we (read: certain posters) are far too concerned with reporting the deaths of left-footers on this forum.

    World War I Veteran(s)

I thought we had a thread for generic "last surviving x" types, but apparently not. Here's a Wiki list of them, anyway: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_last_survivors_of_historical_events Pick and choose yr own favourites.

    Rumours

Twitter rumour started by Joe Budden. The fact that there's enough people following Joe Budden to mean that could cause a hoax to happen is depressing.

    Journalists

So, in what was my attempt at a "smart" pick this year, I opted for 29-year-old Times journalist Mary Bowers, who saw in the new year in a coma after being hit by a lorry. The news on the hack jungle telegraph regarding her ranges from "very grim" through to "she's totally making humming noises now, that's like being alive" depending on who you talk to, so I'm not celebrating that choice just yet. However, the Times has decided to launch a cycle-safety campaign resultantly, meaning that a massive picture of Ms Bowers will be appearing on the front cover of The Thunderer tomorrow. Keep 'em peeled.

Probably could do with a thread for reggae/ragga/dancehall deaths, there's enough of them about. Subtitle it "Irie-P" or something.

I thought she was dead as well, but apparently I'd just turned Maureen O'Hara and Susan Hayward into one person in my mind.
