Ever wonder what Jamie Harding, former lead singer of mid-90s punchline Marion, has been up to the past 15 years? No? Well, he's been addicted to crack cocaine and living in poverty, while contacting blood poisoning and developing a heart murmur. He's allegedly clean now but I can imagine "a Marion reunion" is going to bring the millions flooding in, so keep 'em peeled.

American comedian Patrice O'Neal, probably better known in the UK for popping up in Chapelle's Show and Arrested Development, has suffered a stroke after battling withd diabetes for many years. He "may not recover fully".

He'll soon know where Syd Barrett lives these days... Apparently still in a coma. Also, bonus Alan McGee claiming to be an occultist bonus material.

Fucking hell, that's horrendous. Wouldn't be at all surprised if Rossi announced his retirement tonight.

    Ideas And Possibilities For 2012

Been in the news here too, mainly the Daily Mail. I have no idea why as how many people watch E! News over here? Probably about as many as do in Australia. Perhaps she has the same agent as the TOWIE lot and other no-marks who seem to get a lot of press in the DM too... If enough people put their name into a search engine to make it worth DM Online writing about them, they're a celebrity. The grandmother from TOWIE is famous. Ronald Coase isn't.

The Fringes Of Fame/family Of The Famous

100-year-old Fauja Singh is getting a little shine in the newspapers today, possibly enough to ensure he'll get some coverage when he carks it. Despite being past a century he can do the 100 metres in 23.14, the 200 metres in 52.23 and a full marathon in 8:25:17.

    The Chequered Flag

Nothing confirmed at the moment, but I don't fancy our chances of seeing British Indycar driver Dan Wheldon prancing about any time soon.

    Penny Marshall

Penny Marshall had admitted, in her new autobiography, that she was battling lung and brain cancer in 2009, but they've both gone "into remission".

    (C)Rappers

Ricky Ross feels like he's short of breath, convulsing rapidly. Note for the elders of this forum: Rick Ross is one of the world's biggest (in all senses of the word) rappers. He is not the guy from Deacon Blue.

Now Gascoigne appears to be rescued from the complete edge, is it time to throw our weight behind Paul Merson?

    Comedians & Comedy Writers

97-year-old American comedian Irwin Corey has only ever bagged one mention on these forums, but he's usually good for a handful of picks by American/people googling for "old celebrities" on the DDP. Anyway, despite his advanced years he's still well enough to panhandle for charity on the streets of New York.

    Ideas And Possibilities For 2012

T-Boz, one of two remaining members of waterfall-loving, scrub-hating 90s R&B doyens TLC, has decided to go public with her "brave battle" against a brain tumour. Although the tumour's gone now, she does still have sickle cell anaemia, so keep 'em peeled.

Oakland Raiders executive, and possibly known outside the US for the fact that he looks like he's already been dead for four decades, Al Davis has carked it at 82. Two DDP teams cash in when the inevitable AP three-line obituary shows up.
