The Nord turned up in the BBC4 documentary about Bob Monkhouse tonight as one of the talking heads. He looked a lot healthier than you'd imagine, seems to look a lot less gaunt than he did when "It'll Be All Right On The Night" ended. Documentary also reminds me that, alongside Kim Jong-Il, Monkhouse had one of the largest private film collections on the planet.

I went to a comprehensive school so I have no idea about the Archers, but did the mystery of Alan Devereux's sudden departure from the show ever get cleared up?

Gonna guess OoO went out on top like Rocky Marciano.

I hope I don't.

Did we ever find out what this was for? Presumably DDT was putting together a video tribute to the late Mr Hands.

We should rename this thread the etc etc etc

Yeah I was gonna say, shout out MiB for putting it all together, the man hours he's put into finding puns to mark the passing of minor American diplomats is much appreciated.

Yes, and some of them for a couple of years. Claude Levi-Strauss for example celebrated his 100th birthday on the list and is still going on... 23 days, in case anyone was going to google.

Dunno about her health, but apparently there are Andrews Sisters obsessives out there who get really angry on Youtube, so touch wood we should have some googlebaited nutjobs turning up in this thread.

Fascinating a digression as this has uncertainly been, back to celebrity corpses. For the completists, though, the first death of 2011 wherein the cadaver had a Wikipedia page before passing on goes to Romanian composer and expert on Gregorian chanting Marin Constantin. I'm sure we're all kicking ourselves for not picking him right now.

Boyfriend's now sprung to Creepy Old Mr Jeffries 's defence now. Maybe they both killed her because they wanted to be with each other?

If you really want a sub-45er, someone I was surprised wasn't on the 2010 DDP and would be kinda shocked not to see on the 2011 is Nate Dogg, who has suffered three strokes over the past half-decade, surprisingly a lifestyle consisting entirely of Courvoisier, fried chicken and blunts isn't that good on the old nervous system.

DMX has been arrested at least once every year since 1997, which is pretty impressive.

Is this the bit where some pedantic w***er comes along and says "Actually the show was just called 'Roobarb'"? (This probably is the most interesting pick on this year's 50, although my generation probably remembers him for from "Henry's Cat". My first ever bank account for putting my pocket money in as a nipper came with a Henry's Cat piggy bank)

New Here And Just Saying Hello
Spade_Cooley replied to football_fan's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Hey noobs, what'll happen in your first week is you post here then someone will call you a cunt for starting a thread about something we already have a thread about or posting a death in the wrong topic. Don't take that personal, it's kinda like really ineffectual hazing. -

Will this guy actually get any UK obituary coverage? "Background vocals in "Eye of The Tiger" and was lead singer of Toto about 12 years after they stopped having hits" doesn't really strike me as a guarantee of anything.
