Couldn't find any chatter about James Randi on here. Having been diagnosed with intestinal cancer a few years back, he's now decided to come out of the closet. The only reason I can think that an 81-year-old man would certainly decide to announce his ability with colours is because he was hoping to get everything out in the open before he passes on in the next life, but maybe Uri Gellar was threatening to go to the papers with this, idk.

And that is why I don't bet any more.

A brief look at some of Britain's braintrust currently discussing Jon Venables on Twitter makes me wonder whether David Calvert may be one to consider here.

Someone who knows more than me (I only studied media law for a year, how am I supposed to know?) help me out here: if Venables was now to be killed/commit suicide/slip on a banana skin off a cliff while in prison, is it likely that this would now be reported by national media? Previously I'd have assumed not, but if his arrest can be marketed to shift papers... And does this apply for OG folk devil child killer Mary Bell as well? She doesn't strike me as a woman who'll live to see the retirement home.

Angelo Poffo, father of "Macho Man" Randy Savage and former world record holder for the most consecutive sit-ups, has somehow died before his son aged 84.
