Update on the popular Hanbury Tennison (Paywalled in the Spectator): It then goes onto detail the family plans to celebrate his birthday in 5 weeks, and events for their dad further this summer...

Dead Peter Falk Is Suffering From Alzheimer's Disease
msc replied to DevonDeathTrip's topic in DeathList Forum
Ah, McGoohan's class. He shows up a lot! That funeral director would have got away with it too if he hadn't gone for the classic "I did it but you can't prove it" gambit. I think my favourite is Jackie Cooper as the corrupt politician because Columbo's "got you now" moment at the end is so great. (The one where he took the bullet from the fake assassination attempt out of the wall hours earlier...) -

Have you seen this one, Willz? I saw it on Freeview the other week. It's hilarious. Revill plays a badly accented Irish poet who is secretly a member of the IRA. He kills the gun smuggler who tried to get more money out of him, and then left his traditional home brand whisky as a calling card. It takes Columbo the standard 90 minutes to solve the case, presumably as an excuse to use the department bar tab in tailing the whisky swilling fake Irishman in the pub... -
He - Nott - actually showed up on TV again last year, looking quite healthy for his age. Especially next to some contemporaries like Nigel Lawson and Roy Hattersley who both looked like a sneeze would finish them off.
-
John Nott is still alive too, recently turned 88.

What would be likely is either the party coalesce around Raab, or they have a straight either or MP election between Raab and another contender, and the Queen is asked to send for the winner to form a government.

Various means = asks yer moderator girlfriend. Check.

Aye, although Douglas Home did manage to foil his own kidnapping plot in between. Only just started this thanks to the lockdown. George VI is looking ill, please don't spoil what happens next!
-
I *think* it was 1963 when Harold MacMillan took seriously ill, ill enough for his will to become an issue. He resigned as PM expecting to die, only to make a solid recovery and live another 23 years.

Promising news from Finland about their medical research into Time Lord DNA, however:
-
Rather underrated manager in his time. And you can probably count the number of folk who worked for Barca and Real and was liked by both fans on one hand.

I invented the Cup as the sort of game I wanted to play - and haven't got past the last 16 once!

15 edit - so that's April 21st.

Great actress, long life. Also did well to come back from a serious stroke in her 80s to present a TV event afterwards. RIP
-
Although, older folk, am I the only person confused by UK quiz shows calling Victorian PMs by their birth names now instead of the names they were actually known as when PM and people have known them as for most of the last 100+ years. "Gascoigne Cecil? Oh wait you mean Lord Salisbury?"

Am on the verge of never querying another @Gooseberry Crumble prediction in my life...

Sadly (as his career ending so young to demons was a waste of amazing talent) Danny Kirwan disagrees with this. Although we are in a world where the original Black Sabbath quartet have all reached 70. Somehow.

Yep, last picked in the DDP in 2017 by...err...me!
-
On looking back, he was actually picked by the one team for years who no longer take part. Then made a brief renaissance in 2017 on one of my theme teams, before disappearing again. So I was overegging the "popular cult pick" bit a tad...
-
This is Alexander Thynn, eccentric mural painting free love advocate and critic puncher who was a popular cult pick on the DDP on and off going back 15 years! Sods law, he's gone and died in a year no one actually picked him.

Blimey....Listverse still exists?

Thanks. You know when American Republicans stop talking prayers and thoughts and start talking "unlikely to make it", someone must be fecked. As Mr Glanzer was. So far Duchin, Adkins, Tennison and DeSaulnier all still critical condition after a week. Prine now has pneumonia in both lungs and Covid. No new news on Amara, Burford or Ziegler but they're all v. ill. Drol's guy is still in hospital, and Shurer is doing "dont get lung cancer" awareness on Instagram. Tbh it was between him and Lone Dybkjaer (both at the draining lungs bit of lung cancer) for the cup spot and I went with the one I could spell!

Well, that's the priests fault for saying "go forth and multiply" and people taking it seriously...

Jack Reynolds is the 107 year old who made his acting debut in Hollyoaks last year. He played himself, and so was likely the best actor on that show by miles.
