Already apologised, according to the Beeb.

As if I'd do that... I think I made the comment in her thread instead!

With a 25% chance of a correct second go, Olivia de Havilland seems fairly healthy... I was going to say Vera, but if my gran ever hears I jinxed her, I will never hear the end of it...

Kiss of death in the first post!

False alarm, still waiting for Hit 16...

Couldn't mind it if were Diski or Marks. A search reveals: But it brings only a wry smile from memory, that's all, and yes, a good shout on Mr Domino.

AIN'T THAT A SHAME? 21/50 25th October 2017. Legendary rock and blues pioneer Fats Domino has quickly joined contemporary Chuck Berry on stage at the great gig in the sky, by dying aged 89. Fats Domino was one of the original rock megastars, with five albums gaining a million sales each before the age of 27. He would later make 65 million sales by the end of that decade alone. His music was heavily covered by white musicians (Pat Boone once got a number one off a hit - Ain't That A Shame - as his version got the radio play the original didn't) but Domino was regarded by all audiences, and his music helped break down boundaries. He became a heavy influence on the Beatles, Elvis Presley, and even the early ska and reggae of the 1950s and 60s. Others who counted Domino as a direct influence on their music included Elton John, Neil Young, Willie Nelson and the late Tom Petty. His love of his native New Orleans meant he even turned down appearances at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and the White House in later years, with not even a hurricane shifting him. Despite being seriously unwell at the time Hurricane Katrina hit his home, Domino proved to be made of hardy stuff, and survived not only the rest of the Bush Administration, but the Obama and likely most of the Trump ones too. Fats Domino was appearing on his 2nd Crowdsourced list, and was in 31st place. With two months until January 1st, we are now at twenty-one successful hits from fifty, and the list wouldn't blame any of its survivors if they were planning a swift health checkup with their GP.

Anyhow, RIP Fats. Remarkable that an already aged man said to be "extremely frail" at the time of Hurricane Katarina survived not only the storm, but practically three whole Presidential terms since.

Certainly, though one finds it bad manners to promote one's own posts as legendary.

If Aiden Burley, Simon Danczuk and Mark Oaten didn't quit... Not even losing the whip hastens it, see that Nadine Dorries. Or countless others. If there's a hit soon, it'll be by-election via death. Ken Clarke has the sozzled look about him nowadays, a rapid downhill decline for him at any time wouldn't surprise me at all. Mind you, in 2015 would have said David "might be a ghost but he's not in parliament anymore" Winnick was a favourite for that, and certainly not Michael "arranging conference talks 6 days before he died" Meacher. So who knows?

Aye, weren't they having a year long wake/mourning session first? Seem to recall at the time Prem Timsulanonda (the old guy) was going to be regent for a year. At 96. Alas, he sensibly retired on age or health grounds in early January iirc.

^ Just seen that. Is there anyone on here who didn't tempt fate? And if so, can the regulars all start saying, I dunno, "that Al Baghdadi is just so damn healthy..." Thanks in advance.

Domino is another big deadpool hit on a day I'm mostly out of the house rather than working from home. See also Downie, Hef, Brucie in recent weeks. If this carries on, I might have to take on commissions from less successful DDP teams...

Am afraid this goes down in the great pantheon of Deathlist Forum predictions alongside Death Impends on Abe Vigoda, Sir Creep on Howard Marks and Jenny Diski, etc etc...

He should resign as fast as Naz Shah did ie not at all. He apologised, he just needs to put his head down and in a few days the next scandal will show up and he'll be forgotten. My former MP once called me a "fucking Fascist". I laughed. I suppose nowadays you're expected to tell Guido/The Mirror/whoever and try to get them to quit or something.

And if you want to go mainstream, Bruno Sammartino is retiring from all public appearances outwith his home (Pittsburgh). Could be age (he's 82), could be Grumpy Bruno, could be more...

Stan Kowalski's died a few days ago (aged 91). He was three times AWA tag champ back in the 1960s as Murder Inc. (a great tag team name imo) with Tiny Mills (long gone). Reapers on a bit of an AWA fix lately. Anyhow, ten really old wrestling connections you might consider for a deadpool. I was going to say "oldest living", but you know, between people considered long dead showing up at reunion shows, and the fudging of ages, it's one of those lists that people appear on as much as get taken off for dying! Vicky Askew (1920) - Vince McMahon's mum, so fringes of fame. Joe D'orazio (1922) - Obit likely as oldest British wrestler, shows up at those reunion shows they do. Bill Mercer (1926) - Old time commentator Carlos Rocha (1927) - Wrestled for the WWF back in the 50s. Karl Karlsson (1927) - possibly Cowboy Bob Ellis (1929) Pampero Firpo (1930) - who already appears on a few deadpools, I see Jacques Rougeau Sr (1930) - Promoter, dad to Jacques and Ray (and Armand), former commentator. Len Rossi (1930) - retired to run a health food store, outlived his own son. Dick "The Destroyer" Beyer (1930) - An actual proper legend. Don Leo Jonathan (1931) - Legend, now said to be in very poor health Dave Kidney (1931) - That guy! Tony Marino (1931) - Wrestled as Batman, worked with Bruno Sammartino, teamed with Bobo Brazil to win regional tag titles and feuded with Abdullah the Butcher. Not bad for a journeyman! Any deadpool with relaxed qualifying obit requirements (ie, the Deathlist Cup, Hares Pool, etc) will be OK here as all of the above will be covered by Slam Sports (a respected Canadian news site) and their wrestling section.

So around the start of November, I'm going to open the thread for the 2018 game. The start of November is next week... Then, if we completely steal the Slam Guide stuff everything is using now (since MPFC came up with it), then that allows folk to bring up names they think should be on the list. And, as it's not a competition per say, there's more of a lobbying aspect to it. You'd be trying to convince other voters why they should spend one of their spots on the person.

The Rolling Probabilistic Ddp Scoreboard

You trying this again next year? -
Always a good time to bring up the Bush Sr to Clinton letter from 93...

By the time you're waiting for a royal funeral, we could have nine living current or former PMs: 1. Major 2. Blair 3. Brown 4. Cameron 5. May 6. May's successor 7. The Person who replaces May's successor 8. Corbyn 9. The Person MI6 replace Corbyn with 10 hours after election

Third, Kennedy was a useless sod and who cares who shot him anyway?

Someone tell Sir Creep there are several different strands of ALS/MND which attack in several different ways/have varying life expectancies. Gordon Aikman was still chatting sans tube about a month before his death, for example.

Right, onwards and upwards as they say. Congrates to Shaun and gcreptile for sticking with Berkowitz - I think the only two regulars on here who did, from a quick glance? On 36 teams too, so unlucky not to get the Drop 40 bonus by 3 teams...
