Apparently him just before the game.

We Jon Pertwee fans are always getting slighted like that.

Aye, the 1850s. -

To win points, there must be the mention of a celebrity's death on a national online news source: BBC*: bbc.co.uk/news bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts bbc.co.uk/news/business bbc.co.uk/news/education bbc.co.uk/news/uk (that's UK in general, not it's component parts - Scotland, Wales, NI etc) bbc.co.uk/news/world bbc.co.uk/sport bbc.co.uk/newsbeat bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics bbc.co.uk/news/magazine Yes.

It is annoying, yes (though personally I blame certain folk who kept moaning on and on and on about "local" obits in 2015 for it), but all the Scots on the DDP have nabbed obits so far. Even Jamie Daniel. You'd have to expect Billy Simpson nabbing a Guardian obit at some point in the next week or two.

Depends. If Wilko snuffs it this year, is he a big miss? Literally only one person on the entire forum suggested John Hurt for the 2017 Deathlist in the "Who Should be on" thread, and that was Shaun. Most folk seemed to assume he'd done a Ginsburg. I think if there'd been consensus he was on road out, he'd be top 10 on the list, and on most of the top DDP teams sides, especially with a Drop 40 bonus.

DL Status Updates: Statements, Obsevations & Verbal Tennis
msc replied to Lord Fellatio Nelson's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Also, two things who are meant to help low mood are chocolate and sex. Something about brain chemicals. So that "get a shag" advice was more scientific than possibly intended... -
DL Status Updates: Statements, Obsevations & Verbal Tennis

Is this still going on? Everyone's brain and system is different to everyone else's, so they react differently to most drugs. Hence I can take a few antibiotics for an infection but my wife's allergic to them, for one example. (I don't care if its a placebo effect for the record, if it makes you feel better, mon the placebo...) Some folk anti-Ds work for, others they don't. Personally I've always been slightly less batshit without them. Charon is right on his general point, they (anti-Ds) are handed out far too easily by doctors, who tend to use them for everything mental under the sun, and for years too. That's not what they are meant for in the vast majority of cases, where they are designed to be short term solutions while the person deals with the root cause of the issue, be it via CBT or other therapies, getting themselves out of a poisonous situation or so on. Far far too many people are being fobbed off on pills when they could be getting life changing long term treatment. (Information gained from msc Sr, who is a medical expert, though not a doctor - he hates doctors...) And some people, that long term treatment is the pills because that's how their brain is wired. Yeah, they might get it on certain other drugs which aren't currently available in the shops thanks to lobbyists and government pressure back in the 1910-20s. But the fact that they should pretty much all be legal is an entirely different topic. TL/DR version: you're both right and wrong and neither will change the others mind, but if anyone actually makes their medical options based on the Deathlist forum, they're fools. -
Thanks, guys! Just kidding. So many great roles though. Don't think anyones named Plague Dogs, 10 Rillington Place or The Shout, so I'll add them to the long list of great John Hurt performances.

Oh fuck off, this is awful news.

No one punted her in the DDP, but she's dead regardless. That is far earlier than I'd suspected, but then I didn't really go back to check on that one nearer Hogmanay.
-
He did pretty much hint at this in his tweets late last year.
-
I mostly knew her from the song Buddy Holly.
-
It's like subliminal messaging. Must...become...monarchist... I assume that's exactly Deathray's intent.
-
They are here, perhaps try the F5 refresh trick the DDP site often needs?
-
Ah! Err, Exaggeration to make a point. Yep, honest, that's what it was...
-
Good stuff! Two a month on the Hares = 24/25 by Hogmanay with the last two being crucial big point bonanzas.
-
Billy Simpson, ex-Rangers, dead. Picked on a tip from Charon, I assume if a blog was OK for points for Bob Dorr last year, then the Daily Record is OK for Simpson?
-
Calling Charon. Calling Charon. Well done, old chap.
-
Christie's on the list because the Cmme quite clearly got fecked off with nearly producing a shit score in a death-laden year, and so went for a few low hanging fruit.
-
Alex Neil (SNP) recovering after surgery on a blocked artery. This is the most astounding and surprising news since the 2017 Deathlist was announced to have Kirk Douglas and Javier Perez de Cuellar on the front page...

Rumours of an unofficial militant campaign by backbenchers to resign their seats every couple of weeks. Which, as campaigns go, is possibly the stupidest one in some time. "Oh I know what will weaken Jeremy, making him lose our seat to UKIP so that when he's finally gone the party will be bleeding from a whole lot of self-inflicted bullets and we'll have shown that we can lose anywhere!" Might as well drill a few holes at the bottom of the lifeboat, what's the worst that can happen?

They've picked an anti-Brexit, anti-Corbyn chap. I've forgotten his name already.

Tam Dayl...ah, I see YW was on the ball! West Lothian cremation.
