Smith Hart had a checkup this week, according to his Facebook, and found that his bone and prostate cancer has now spread into his hips too.

I've read 14/20. Though I actively enjoyed far fewer. Not read Fifty Shades, Anne Frank, David Copperfield, Holmes (read a bunch of the short stories though, but not the collection), Lord of the Rings (started it once...) and War and bloody Peace. Anna Karenina was a month I'll never get back. By the end,

Naturally, that's because Rammstein are great and don't play country music, but I digress.
-
I agree, but then we all have different opinions of fame according to our interests which make arguments about fame levels on here a bit daft, to say the least.
-
They already had a bunch of albums and awards for country music prior to Joey getting ill, and are now Grammy nominated. Less cancer mum (though she is a mum and has cancer) and more "I don't listen to X type of music therefore no one does..." If Till Lindemann took terminally ill, we'd probably see the same debate from folk who'd never heard of Rammstein.

Belatedly, yes. Three to go. With Joey Feek and Eric Lubbock looking favourites to join his list in the near future.
-
Thanks. So, I need four of Bonnie Brown, Jenny Diski, Peter Esterhazy, Keith Farnham, Rob Ford, Phil Gartside, Rowena Kincaid, Steve Latourette, Eric Lubbock, Howard Marks, Sandy McDonald, Joost, Geoffrey Robinson and Pan Breed favourite Mary Wilson to go before any of Sir Creeps do. Simple!
-
Some potential contenders...and Pan Breed! The first time I've ever successfully read between the lines on a pick potentially getting better. Three hits in 34 days, with a joker and a half dozen other picks teetering precariously.

It does, however, get our defending champion into four digits. Though, any one hit would still give Sir Creep the title now? My maths tends to suck.

Who Do You Think Will Win The Democrat And Republican Nominations?
msc replied to Bibliogryphon's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Recent history suggests Iowa Republicans love super religious nutters with no traction in the rest of the country (Santorum, Huckabee) so Cruz winning Iowa and Trump being second is possibly great news for Donald Trump. -
Lord Avebury diagnosis update: St Christopher's Hospice are reviewing his care too. Sounds like his prediction of June will be spot on, give or take.

A singer with no voice? No change there, then.

Another name I decided not to go with in the DDP, so he'll be dead by Friday. Bray's not missed a RAW since the Wyatts debuted in 2013 iirc, so I'd assume its quite serious.

Most of Spade's team this year fufilled my only real test of fame criteria - has my mum heard of them? On a serious note, one persons fame is another's obscurity, as I find anytime someone respends to some great character actor's death with "who?". If you want to go off what someone else defines as fame, you might as well play the Rotten Dead Pool instead.

Doing even worse now. FFS, my "considered but cut late on" list is going to be one long list of the missed if January is anything to go by.

Who Do You Think Will Win The Democrat And Republican Nominations?
msc replied to Bibliogryphon's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I thought it was going to be a repeat of the 2002 French election with Trump as Le Pen, but Clinton seems to be doing her best to screw up the nomination. I do think Trump is basically Barry Goldwater electorally though. Maybe Bernie Sanders is taking the well worn path to power, that of being unable to better choose his opponents. -
Aye, the 80s bands should be good for a few more tours, then there's the inevitable Oasis comeback, and so on... Just wait till the Bieber '28 Comeback Show is spoken of in hushed tones.

I was a bit lost without the forum to randomly check during the day. Bit sad, I know, but after so many years, you get used to routine.

I have thus voted for Prior, who has 100% of the vote as it stands.
-
Prior looked ready for it a decade ago and I've not seen him in anything public in a while.
-
I was expecting news of that sort given how few posts he'd made since new year.
-
I only saw Death Impends' post about 15 minutes ago! That was a hell of a U-turn in his condition between posts.

I'm trying to chase new info down on Mark Farren and can't find squat (not even these promising photos you speak of) I'm still interested in the cacophony of a GoFundMe that on May 1 2015 is supposed to send him to GERMANY for unique cancer treatment, and by May 14 that is switched to MEXICO (nothing like Mexican health care I say... a-hem) So what gives? Anyway it's pretty quiet for 8 months now seeing as he was fully funded to get treatment (i.e. remove a grade 4 tumour?). I'd like him to perish, not that I'm ROOTING for it or anything SC He had his trip to Mexico for that treatment in August. He was announced to be "currently" suffering from cancer in November at the Irish Cup final. There's been no "Farren on the mend", or "Farren hopeful", or even "Farren goes to the shops" stories, even in the Irish press, since. You can draw your own conclusions.

They didn't need to qualify for it, as they were World Champions. And they didn't need to qualify for 1966 either, as they were hosts. They did need to qualify for 1974, 1978 and 1982, and failed abysmally in the first two. Meanwhile, Scotland qualified for both 70s tournaments, and only suffered one defeat in both combined. Accentuate the positive, me.
