Dead Dave Swarbrick (And Fairport Convention)
DevonDeathTrip replied to Death Watch Beatle's topic in DeathList Forum
I'm going to see Dave Swarbrick preform next Friday night, so I'll check to see how close to death he looks these days. Anyway, he's posted some news on his website about his close friend and former bandmate Diz Disley, who is very ill with heart problems and dementia: http://www.folkicons.co.uk/swarbmenu.htm -

Seven people have been arrested in the Irish Republic over an alleged plot to kill the blasphemous Swedish cartoonist. She hasn't got a hope in hell of getting a UK obit, but that doesn't mean that the fabulously named Wilma Mankiller, former leader of the Cherokee Indian community, shouldn't get a mention here. She's got terminal pancreatic cancer. -
Ron Banks, lead singer of American soul group The Dramatics, has died of a massive heart attack. The Dramatics toll of death is now right up there with The New York Dolls and Lynyrd Skynyrd, if not quite as good as The Ramones. Their line up at it's peak in the early seventies was thus: Ron Banks - Died of a heart attack today aged 58 William "Wee Gee" Howard: Died of a heart attack in 2000, aged 49 Elbert Wilkins - Died of a heart attack in 1992, aged 42 James Mack Brown - Died of an aneurysm in 2008, aged 58 Willie Ford - Still Alive Larry Demps - Still Alive

Chris Woodhead interview. Quite a sad story, but he doesn't really give any clues as to when he'll decide to end his own suffering.
