So? Well, I just thought I'd throw in that snippet of information. Do you think it might have been a tad unnecessary? Who is Peter Gabriel? He lives down the road from me, and his accountant used to come in my local. So there. Consider yourself truly enlightened, Windsor.

The Queen's former private secretary Philip Brian Cecil Moore, The Baron Moore of Wolvercote, GCB, GCVO, CMG, QSO, PC, has died aged 88. He was once Peter Gabriel's father in law.

A real shame this - he was cheesy, but likeable. He, like Paton as a DDP pick & rather an inspired unique one - fingers crossed, this Easter long weekend (I'm working some of it, but am off the Tuesday after) will see mass DDP updating.... I liked watching Lucky Ladders and also when he was on The Comedians. I always thought that Frank Carson or Russ Abbott would go before Lennie 70 is a bit young to have the perennial 'fall at home' isn't it? Maybe he's been ill for a while. I remember him from the eighties when he was popular but didn't understand why... I wondered that, but then Derek Nimmo was only 68 when he died as a result of a fall. I have to confess I quite liked Bennet too, I remember either Lucky Ladders or Chain Letters (not sure which) had a bit of a cult following at school, though one of my most vivid childhood memories is being violently sick after watching an episode of Punchlines. He suffered from a very serious heart attack in 1994 and had suffered health problems ever since. People with a weak heart are more likely to suffer from giddy spells and falls due to the reduced blood flow to the brain. Dodgy tickers don't tend to react very well to the trauma of falling and ending up in hospital either.

I was surprised to see poor old Dan Seals didn't get the obit required for DDP scoring purposes. Luckily, that saviour of deadpoolers - The Guardian - has at last come to the rescue: http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2009/apr/0...tuary-dan-seals

Is there no end to your tedious blather? Next time you post, please give us all a break and try to leave out the word "I". Numerous gossipy sites are reporting that Farrah Fawcett's cancer has spread to her liver, which isn't exactly breaking news (see post made in Feb 2008 on this thread) Her drug addled son Redmond is in the news as well, he's been arrested for possession again.

Australian quadriplegic June Middleton, 82, who is today having a party to "celebrate" sixty years in an iron lung, longer than anyone else in the world.

Not looking good for Farrah...

Saxophonist and flautist Bud Shank, 82, has played his last note. He once made an album with DL candidate Ravi Shankar and he played the flute on 'California Dreaming' by the Mamas and Papas.

The author Michael Cox has died of cancer aged only 60. His debut novel, "The Meaning of Dark" was a bit of a publishing sensation, he decided to write it after his cancer threatened to blind him. -
Eleanor Mondale's brain cancer has returned. She had operations to remove tumours in 2005 and 2008.

Janet Reno has been forced to cancel a public speaking engagement because of illness. http://www.radiocity.com/events/radio-city...eries-2009.html Just a thought, but if the event in question isn't happening for three weeks, she must be pretty unwell to be cancelling already.

Former Argentine President Raul Alfonsin is not a healthy chap. If the pneumonia doesn't get him, then the lung cancer will.
-
Prior to going out on his killing spree, the gunman, Robert Stewart, had told friends and family that he was suffering from cancer.
-
Octogenerian American ivory tickling jazzer, Dave Brubeck is in hospital and has cancelled several weeks worth of upcoming preformances after he was laid low with "a virus".
-
Just a word of caution, secondary spinal cancer by itself might not kill him that quickly. Fellow Glasgow resident and prostate cancer sufferer Edwin Morgan has had a tumour in his spine since 2003. I'd say a better indication of when he might have weeks to live will be when he is released from prison. The Home Office still apply the three to six months to live rule when considering parole on medical grounds.

Thanks for the ideas everyone. Keep them coming and I'll have a pretty good theme team. HCW, Zeke Zzzypt was outdone by Zachary Zzzzzzzzzra of San Francisco. The last person to appear in Wikipedia's list of 351,710 living people is the completely unfamous American law professor and bankruptcy expert Todd J. Zywicki. While checking out the mind boggling long list of Zs on Wiki, I noticed one or two fine names; Morning Glory Zell-Ravenheart, Katarzyna Ewa Zdanowicz-Cyganiak and Protais Zigiranyirazo to name but a few. Of the 100,000+ posts made on DL, I reckon this one has more Zs than any other.
