Octogenerian jazz Flugelhornist, Clark Terry, was wrongly reported to be dead on Wikipedia earlier this evening. He's now officially alive again, but he did retire from public preformances earlier this year for health reasons and is known to have suffered from colon cancer and diabetes, which has caused him to lose his sight.

The car that Richard Hammond crashed is now for sale on ebay.

OoO, Christodolous will not struggle to get UK obits. He'll get BBC, The Times and The Telegraph for starters. I'm not promising to eat any farm machinery if he doesn't, but I'm certain his passing with occur with some fanfare. Anyway, we'll soon find out. Rather worryingly for me, my already submitted DDP team seems to consist entirely of candidates from the "risky fame" criteria , but I do think CP is also a bit conservative when it comes to obit chances. I know this has been discussed before, but I do hope that the DL 2008 list includes more people at risk of death by unnatural causes, rather than just incredibly old people. May I humbly suggest: Simon Mann - death by Guinean prison cell does have a bit more interest than death by lung cancer or old age. Alain Robert - If he was to fall off a building during 2008, it would be a triumphant day for the DL Hamid Karzai - Was on the list in 2006, he will eventually meet his appointment with the suicide bomber Abu Ayyub al-Masri - Iraqi al-Qaeda leader. He was on my DDP team this year and in my opinion has been lucky to get this far unscathed. His death was reported in error earlier in the year. Joseph Kony - Leader of the reviled Lord's Resistance Army. Currently holed up in Congo, who, in partnership with Uganda, are possibly going to start an military offensive against him next year. There is an ongoing leadership struggle and the organisation is split, disagreements tend to be settled with a gun. Kony executed his deputy last month. And he's believed to be suffering from AIDS as well. Amy Winehouse - Really doesn't seem to be able to handle her drugs very well at all. Bit of a lightweight if you ask me. Also, if the DL head office could see their way clear to picking a religious leader, I would be thrilled. That'll be all. Sorry for the long post. I'm upstairs, with a large drink, hiding from my in-laws.

The billionaire Ken Hendricks, America's 91st richest man, has died of massive head injuries. He made his billions in the roofing industry, he met his death after falling through a roof.

He's outlived three, actually. Got some illustrious company then, the Bronte's dad outlived them all. Didn't last long enough to argue the toss about film rights for their work, mind. There's also Richard Todd who has outlived his two sons, both of whom shot themselves. I think Mozart outlived most of his too. Rose Kennedy outlived four of her nine children (two assassinations and two plane crashes) Scottish MP, Dennis Canavan has lost three of his four sons (motor neurone disease, cancer and a brain tumour)

Not any more she doesn't - she's dead. I'd imagine that's her off a number of potential teams - that's if they had the time to add her on in the first place. 10.30 - Submit DDP team with Arabella Spencer Churchill as my joker 10.55 - News arrives that she's dead. OoO, check your PMs
-
Tony Ryan only just outlived his son and fellow Ryan Air founder, Captain Cathal Ryan, who is now also on a flight to a better place, possibly via Gdansk.
-

For what it's worth, Stephen Stills has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. -
The singer Dan Fogelberg has died, well done to the teams who picked him on the DDP - I think that puts R.I.P It Up And Start Again in to third place.
-
Therapist and author of self help books, Laura Archera Huxley, 96, the widow of Aldous Huxley, has moved on to a brave new world.

Hank Kaplan is dead. It will be interesting to see if gets a UK obit as I was going to take a gamble with him on next year's DDP team. Jack Cardiff is now off the subs bench.

^ Respect Captain O, you were dipped in the font by a leading thinker in the twentieth century paleo-orthodox movement. Anyway, back to business - the world's oldest mother Carmen Bousada, 67, who, with the help of IVF, gave birth to twin boys last year, has been diagnosed with cancer.

I'm not sure I'd pick John Phelps either - I've got bigger, ecclesiastical fish to fry. Going by the photo on his website, it looks like Phelps might be the man responsible for perming Peter Shilton - that's got to count for something. Furthermore, I can advise you that he's worked in the movies as well:
