He's only 34, so worth keeping an eye on. His restaurant is supposed to be one the best in the world. Have a look at the menu here. Candied Tuna anyone?

Danny Bergara, the former Rochdale and Stockport County manager is seriously ill after suffering two strokes this year. He is now in a nursing home. The linked article says that he was the first foreigner to manage an English football team. I'm pretty sure that they are wrong and that Dario Gradi was around before him.

    Derby Dead Pool 2007

If my Bali bombers were shot tomorrow morning, my team would leapfrog eighty places in to second place. Sadly, I have come to the conclusion they will get their sentences commuted. Further food for thought - If Tempus hadn't been disqualified from the DDP and the Bali Bombers do meet with the firing squad, he would have gone in to a 30ish point lead. Your good health, Mr Fugit.

    The Dead - 2007

Hans Georg Schmid, set out this morning on a record attempt in a small plane. He was attempting to fly from Basel, Switzerland to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, a distance of nearly 5000 miles. Sadly with 4997 miles still to go his, fuel laden plane crashed in to a block of flats. Suffice to say that Mr Scmid won't be sampling the night life in Wisconsin this evening.

Bugger. He's on my DDP - the second person on my list to have been reported as dead when still alive. Anyway Jesus De Polanco has also died. He's on my DDP, but will he get a UK obit?

Over zealous supermarket security guards. Every time I walk through the door of their establishment, the uniformed oaf (who no doubt failed in his application to become a policeman) in our local Co Op looks at me as if I am just about to commit a very serious offence. I had a frank and forthright exchange of views with him this morning, telling him that I had been shopping there for years and never actually caused any damage or stolen anything, so there is no need to look at me like I'm a potential suicide bomber or ram raider. I got so irate with the "I'm just doing my job mate", reply that I stole a large packet of Cathedral City Cheddar (retail value £3.89) on the way out.

    Wrestlers/actors

Another one bites the dust. Former "multi-time ECW tag team champion" John Kronus, has pulled his last "Imploding 450° Splash" by dying in an untimely manner. I wonder if our learned wrestling correspondent has any extra information on the current health of Giant González, the tallest wrestler of them all, who measured in at a lofty 7ft 6inches. His Wiki page says that Rather amusing video of Giant Gonzales in action here. (Technical ability wasn't really his thing )

    Tammy Faye Messner

I just watched a video preview of her interview - she looks like she died several years before it was filmed. She will most certainly get a UK obit - if she doesn't I'll eat a rotivator ratatouille.
