    Brooke Astor

I have searched the internet for the last 10 minutes and can find no mention of Brooke being able to juggle. I have learnt however that a blind North Carolina man has accidently shot his wife while juggling fried chicken, so it is probably just as well. Maybe she juggles hamsters. Even if she's lost her technique, she could afford to drop a few.

I wonder if Brooke can juggle.

I know I'm going to get flamed for this, but ...... I hope the Great Man survives and prospers. Viva Fidel! Viva Che Guevara! DDT

    Ideas and possibilities for 2007

Sidney Sheldon, the author is very ill. He has sold 300 million books so I would hope he should pass the fame test.

    Birthdays, Births, Anniversaries Etc...2006

I am quite happy for soft southern shites to have a stereotypical view, it means they won't bother travelling here and discovering that it is still a nice part of the world to live in (outside of the main conurbations). I am probably a "soft southern shite" but I still like Scarborough, Filey & Bridlington. And what, pray is wrong with Robin Hoods Bay? An amusing little hill to drive up when one is nine pints pissed Congratulations to everyone who lives in the bleak, barren tundra on the other side of Somerset. Also known as "The North", I'm told. I went there once.....got lost in the snow. Have a great day.

The ongoing crisis in the Middle East has forced Lebanon to pull out of the Asian Cup.

    Great Gigs In The Sky

The Stranglers are still going - I saw them live a couple of years ago at The Beautiful Days Festival, they have replaced the singer and bass player though. Hugh still preforms as a solo artist - in fact he's at Beautiful Days this year.... along with Killing Joke which might be my musical highlight of the year. As for Squeeze, I think Difford and Tilbrooke have both gone solo now, but I might be wrong.

Reminds me of the time I went all the way to Barcelona to see a reformed Bauhaus concert

    Michael Foot

Although I am loathe to admit reading websites like this - a podcast of a recent interview with Michael Foot can be found here - link to podcast is on left somewhere. BTW what the hell is a podcast?

    Deathlist Comedy

4 ft 10 and under according to wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwarfism Please ladies and gentlemen, let us try to be a little more politically correct. They should be referred to as PORGs, Persons Of Restricted Growth. Try your hand at dwarf throwing.

    Brooke Astor

Source. The source of the article takes you to the front page of the Albuquerque Tribune. I love one the other headlines "Evidence tossed out in explicit video case" How can a 104 year old lady with cancer, dementia and all sorts else wrong with her be described as "improving"?

    UK Heatwave

How'd you end up in Kiribati DDT? Similarly to Moresby, in Lae on PNG's north coast it was a bit tropical as well. We drank copious amounts of Gin and Tonic, to keep the mosquitoes away of course. I was there for a couple of years in my mid twenties - my MA thesis was "Drug and Alcohol Use in Micronesia and Polynesia." I also went to The Marshall Islands, Samoa, Guam and French Polynesia. I enthusiastically investigated the subject matter. Many practical experiments were carried out.

    UK Heatwave

I'm one of those lucky buggers who has spent time abroad in real heat. I quite like the British "heatwave", compared to Kiribati, it's lovely and fresh. I also remember been in Port Moresby, Papau New Guinea, the temperature was 110 degrees and the humidity was so high that the puddles weren't evaporating. That was too much, I had to take solace in alchohol during the majority of my time there

Jade Goody. She won't live to a great age. I'll make sure of that.

    Drunk? Bored?? Psychopath???

I've been drinking sambuca again, could I be barred from this site after 9pm on weekdays and throughout the weekend? I worry at what I might say, especially with the Israeli situation as it is.

    Ariel Sharon

He's health has taken yet another turn for the worse... if that was possible. Dead by the August 1st I reckon.

No! Even if you're Jewish it does not automatically entitle you to entry - As many Ethiopean Jews found to their cost when they tired to flee their strife riven native land. Eventually they were let in and placed in desirable locations such as the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip. Does anyone know if it's true that Tel Aviv is twinned with Belfast? Someone told me that but I think they were pulling my leg!

Nick Du Toit / Simon Mann / Mark Thatcher

Nick Du Toit. Looking terrible in a recent photo. I continue to live in hope. Although he has very selfishly turned 50 years of age now.

    The Kings Of Tonga

The King did not attend the burial of his nephew today. Radio Tonga reports that this is believed to be due to the king’s poor health condition and doctors’ advice.
