    Who Said This?

I thought that was the folk singer Pete Seeger!

    Football

I believe a player with one hand was selected for the Angola team for this World Cup (it was blown off by a landmine when he was a nipper) , he had to withdraw because of a broken thumb on his other hand. I kid you not.

    Football

I think it could have been worse, Graham "I honestly thought she was 16 Officer" Rix was seen hanging around last week. A brilliant quote from Big Phil Scolari, excusing Figo's headbut " "Jesus said we should turn the other cheek, unfortunately, Figo is not Jesus Christ." So that's allright then.

    The Kings Of Tonga

The Tongan press is reporting he will be returning home for his 88th Birthday, they neglect to mention if he will already be in a coffin by then.

    Ideas and possibilities for 2007

Wouldn't think he'd pass many fame tests though, which is unfortunate because that's about as prime as you get. We could make him famous. I'm not sure how, maybe a record deal or something.

    Margaret Thatcher

Personally I think it'll be in the 20XXs. I far too drunk to be posting at all, but I'd like to think she'll spontaneously combust whilst watching the Antiques Road Show at some point after Wimbledon and before the clocks go forward. The old crone is so strong willed she might go on in to her 90s, alive but totally gaga. I think she should be shot at dawn, tomorrow.

Joseph Barbera, I vote for him every time. It feels rude to transfer my loyalties elsewhere.

    Animal Antics

Isn't that the second one to die this year? They're a bit like world's oldest people Miss Turpin, Pitcairn Island's only tortoise is still going strong. This is possibly the loneliest animal in the world, several thousand kilometers away from the nearest of it's species

    Brooke Astor

Well ffs! No wonder there are only four of them left. I believe Shakers used to solve the breeding problem by adopting orphans, they eventually dropped this practise as they came to believe this contradicted the ban on promogulating their faith (another star on their chart, along with the Bahá'ís) Are there any Deathlisters in Maine? Know anything about them?

    The Kings Of Tonga

I've been listening to Radio New Zealand Pacific Service all evening, not a jot of news
  15. I was very honest DDT, obviously having sex in a public place isn't too much of a crime . I wouldn't do in in Mecca during the Hajj
  16. I got "Years in prison: 121 Potential fine: £7000 Plus a possibility of the death penalty!", but they'll never take me alive Well, they're terribly underpaid, aren't they? 17 and half years in prison but no fine for me Damn! I don't think I could survive seven years in prison... I didn't think I was THAT much worse than everyone else!!! Were you all completely honest like I was? I'm starting to worry now, I might turn myself in to the authorities.

    Brooke Astor

ie+s Shaker fact #1: Shaker furniture is not uncommon in NA, and some of it is very beautiful. ie+'s Shaker fact #2: They penned the hymn "The Lord of the Dance". (And I don't mean the Irish dance troupe!) It's one of the very few hymns I actually like. Basically, this is all I know about the Shakers. But because I like their furniture, and because I like their hymn, I've always had quite a positive opinion about them. Sorry to hear there are only four left - they're probably all a zillion years old, too. I knew about the furniture, I think they also inspired a classic in aga design, but didn't know about Lord of The Dance, which as hymns go is pretty good.

    The Kings Of Tonga

Excellent. I'm sure his unusual character will get a BBC obit. Afterall, they are dumbing down... I await with bated breath, I too have him on my DDP and have also heard from a friend who works for the media in NZ that he's hanging on by a thread.

I always find that by telling Jehovah's Witnesses they're welcome to come in for a chat as long as I can challenge them to a drinking competition before we move on to talking about religion - no one has taken me up on the offer yet. Talking of religion and drifting far far away from Brooke Astor, I've been reading about The Shakers, officially the world's smallest religion with only 4 members, can't find any info on their ages, but there might be some press interest when the last one goes.

Casey Coleman, American sports broadcaster and disc jockey, has pancreatic cancer... the most lethal Big C of them all. The prognosis looks bleak.
  21. I was shocked at how many questions I answered yes to but I still only got: Years in prison: 37 Potential fine: £7000 What have you been up to Scsi? I got "Years in prison: 121 Potential fine: £7000 Plus a possibility of the death penalty!", but they'll never take me alive

    Saddam Hussein

Sounds like a publicity stunt, I can't see Saddam doing a Bobby Sands. Too much of an egoist for that. Possibly, but he knows he's going to die anyway, maybe he would prefer death by starvation on his own terms rather than public hanging on American terms. It's about the only way he can kill himself anyway, I'm sure his guards keep him distanced from sharp objects and toxins.

Nick Du Toit / Simon Mann / Mark Thatcher

I live in hope OoO, there are a lot of points at stake for my DDP, Unique Pick, Under 50 and my joker (although I concede that was a little wreckless) I must say, from a deathlist point of view, I'm rather concerned about Equatorial Guinea's humanitarian concern for Marius Boonzaaier. I do hope the BBC drama sheds some light on his current health, there has been no recent news and Black Beach Prison haven't replied to any of my emails.

    Pete Doherty

Do you think that, to achive immortality, Pete Doherty feels he has to die young? Just like Kurt Cobain, who would be nearly forgotten by now if he was still alive, Pete's place in the histroy books can only really be achieved by an untimely death, he won't be remembered for his music.
