"Haemorrhagic strokes are more rare and fatal than ischemic strokes. Medical studies show that up to 38 per cent of brain haemorrhages cause death within 30 days. About half of the people who survive a stroke will be left with significant disability. " Good luck Lady Die - I think you're on to a winner here. Even if he survives he's got 11 and a bit months to avoid assassination.

No they weren't. Husker Du were and that's final.

Happy new year!!!! On New Years Eve someone was feeding me a spirit with gold flecks in it - does anyone have any idea what it could have been? How will it affect my digestive tract? It certainly affected by cognitive abilities on the night. By the way Mrs Death Trip's parents were not terribly impressed when I mentioned Kir5ty Howard's survival chances for 2006 over my belated Xmas dinner. I wonder if any other Death Listers committed a similar faux pas?

Maggie Bailey, the "Queen of the Mountain Bootleggers," died on Dec. 3 of complications from pneumonia. She was 101. The Kentucky distiller and local legend began selling moonshine when she was just 17 years old. Wearing a uniform that said "National Distillery" on the breast pocket, Bailey continued working well into her 90s.

Saw Mary Wilson on BBC local news last month - she was very sprightly and alert, I don't think she's going to die any time soon.

I wonder if "the bru" is one of the reasons men in Glasgow have the shortest life expectancy in Western Europe, I do wonder what they put in that stuff. I suppose consuming vast amounts of heroin and Buckfast Tonic Wine may also have something to do with it.

I voted for the Socialist Alliance at the last general election - along with 168 other brave/deluded souls in my constituency. They lost their deposit. I don't think Devon is ready for an uprising of the masses just yet.

I'm shocked. Hardly DL material, now is he? regards, Hein I suppose not. But he was administrating a land larger than California and I'm sure we would mention Arnold Schwarzenegger if he snuffed it.

Tonga's King Taufa‘ahau Tupou IV is healthy and very well, said the king's Acting Private Secretary, Sateki ‘Ahio, at the Palace Office this morning, quashing rumours in the community that the king had died yesterday. “The rumours are far from the truth,” he said. “His Majesty is healthy, and very well.”

He's not very well at the moment - must have been devastated when Maxi Priest cancelled at the last moment.

Wasn't Rick Parfitt in the News of the World a couple of years ago for getting his end away with the wife of one of his biggest fans? I seem to recall that the husband thought it was "an honour" to let his wife sleep with a "Rock God" Perhaps some drive by ranters would care to enlighten us?

The Deathlist Christmas Special!
DevonDeathTrip replied to Lady Die's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
She didn't serve me instantly and paffed about too much, that really incurred my wrath. All I did was tell her to hurry up and not to look at me like something her cat had just thrown up. When her lower lip started to wobble, I told her she had a face like a smacked bottom - and then she began a full on histrionics fit and quit her job. -

You should have been in Argos yesterday. After pushing old ladies aside and trampling on small children, I finally got somewhere near a till, Once there, the young lady at the counter to start crying, ripped off her Argos badge and say "I can't take this anymore, I'm going to have a nervous breakdown. I quit" Before walking out of the store and leaving me unattended. I despair at the emotional fragility of the youth of today. -
The Deathlist Christmas Special!

I'd like a family sized bottle of valium, 2 flaggons of cider, a supersized bottle of vodka and a bag of turkey twizzlers. Sadly I'm working on Christmas Day so I might have to have to make do with low alcohol bucks fizz and a cold turkey sandwich. I will of course be keeping a careful eye on any celebrity deaths over the Christmas period, as I may be the only person sober enough to post them here. I have a feeling there is going to be a festive fatality. -

I'd imagine Diego Maradona is still "active" in that department. -
I believe that UB40 are also playing in Tonga next year

Agreed. I just love short hairy women... Perhaps Kelly dipped her toe in the waters of Lesbos and decided to scamper back to Hairy beach. Dame Ellen looked awful the other night, but then it's hard to look good if you're a short, squat weatherbeaten troll like her. - mind you, I could have hung my coat on Dame Kelly's dress

A bit like the The Pretenders, who managed to lose 1/2 their original line up in two days. The deaths did not occur within 2 days of each other. The sequence of events was as follows: 14th June 1982: Pete Farndon fired because of drug problem 16th June 1982: James Honeyman-Scott dies of drug overdose 14th April 1983: Pete Farndon found dead in his bath (drug overdose) Thought that needed clearing up! Whoops - I stand corrected! The shite Brazilian boy band Mamonas Assassinas all managed to die on the same day. Now that's cursed.

Howabout an Al Quaeda double attack on George Bush and Tony Blair next year. America is definately overdue a presidential assassination and the current incumbent of the job is a most deserving case for this sort of treatment.

James Bond 007 (Connery/Moore/Villains etc)

He was very quick. Considering he was interviewed on BBC news this morning.
